Flix<\/strong><\/a> was launched around 10 years ago with the premise of "opening up new opportunities for a young and student target group to travel inexpensively and very comfortably between German cities." The company received support along the way from several Munich entrepreneurship centers, including UnternehmerTUM. According to the company, UnternehmerTUM was able to support Flix primarily through its extensive network in politics and industry. The company, founded by Jochen Engert, Daniel Krauss, and Andr\u00e9 Schw\u00e4mmlein, is now valued at around \u20ac2.7 billion and operates buses as well as trains. \"Proglove\"<\/a>
The founders of Proglove<\/a><\/strong> were already scholarship holders of the 'Manage & More' program<\/a> the UnternehmerTUM. With their startup Proglove, they participated in the first batch of the TechFounders Accelerator Program<\/a>The first prototype of the glove with an integrated barcode scanner for industrial use was also manufactured in the Garching makerspace. The IoT startup now employs more than 250 people in Munich, Chicago, and Belgrade, and its customers include Mercedes-Benz, VW, BMW, DHL, XPO Logistics, GAP, and Staples. As announced in early May, The Swedish private equity investor Nordic Capital acquires a majority stake in Proglove<\/a>Bayern Kapital, Summit Partners, and DI Technology are selling their shares in the company, while the founders and management of Proglove remain involved. Blickfeld<\/strong>Founded in 2017 by Mathias M\u00fcller, Florian Petit, and Rolf Wojtech, UnternehmerTUM develops and produces LiDAR sensors and perception software. The solutions provide high-resolution, three-dimensional environmental information and enable numerous applications ranging from autonomous transportation and mobility to smart cities, industrial applications, and security applications. UnternehmerTUM has supported Blickfeld with venture capital. UnternehmerTUM Venture Capital Partners (UVC Partners) invested in the Munich-based startup during the seed phase in 2017<\/a>, further investments followed.  UVC Partners also invested in Isar Aerospace<\/strong><\/a>The connections to the Technical University of Munich (TUM) go further, however: Isar Aerospace was founded in 2018 as a result of a rocket technology initiative by TUM students. Since then, the Munich-based aerospace company has focused on building small launch vehicles capable of transporting modern small satellites. The production of Spectrum, Isar Aerospace's two-stage launcher, is progressing according to plan: The Munich-based company has already completed the construction of its own, vertically integrated production facility and is working on completing important tests. Once these milestones have been reached, nothing stands in the way of a first test flight at the end of 2022. \"Navvis\"<\/a>
With around 200 employees, we develop and market Navvis<\/strong> Hardware and software for mapping indoor spaces. Mobile laser scanners are used to capture (map) indoor spaces, and the startup uses the data to create "digital twins" of the scanned spaces. These are primarily used in the monitoring and documentation of construction projects, as well as in production and factory planning. The startup's customers include companies such as BMW, Daimler, Allianz, Audi, and Skoda. The Navvis founders received several forms of support from UnternehmerTUM and TUM: In addition to start-up support and the provision of office space, the first prototypes for the Indoor Mobile Mapping System (IMMS) were developed in collaboration with the Chair of Industrial Design.
