Rebike operates two different platforms and thus pursues two different business models: On www.rebike.de<\/a> The startup sells new and used e-bikes from various manufacturers and on www.ebike-abo.de<\/a> It offers subscription models. According to the startup, it has already helped 30,000 people get started or switch to an e-bike since its launch in 2018. Corporate customers such as rental shops, hotels, and medium-sized companies can also sign up for fleet subscriptions with the startup. And in highly frequented tourist locations, the Munich<\/a> offers e-bikes for short-term rental in our own stores.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Equity plus debt<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The financing round consists of two parts. First, equity financing of \u20ac19 million will be invested in the expansion of the new refurbishment and logistics center at the Kempten site. Furthermore, international expansion into France, the Netherlands, and Switzerland is planned for implementation this year. Further technical development of both platforms is also planned.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, there is debt financing in the amount of five million euros, which was concluded with Varengold Bank. The two founders, Thomas Bernik and Sven Erger, intend to use this capital to further finance the subscription business.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
