The French tech scene's presence is being organized by La French Tech Munich together with Bits & Pretzels. The goal is not only to France<\/a> but also to unite the European startup ecosystems that have to assert themselves against digital competition from the USA and Asia.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Christian Lohmeier<\/strong>, Managing Director of Bits & Pretzels, explains:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"With the French government's agenda to make Europe a digital powerhouse, France is the perfect guest for Bits & Pretzels 2022. They have recognized the importance of the startup economy as Europe's opportunity to remain at the forefront of innovation and create millions of new jobs."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

"The Franco-German axis is a key to building European champions. La French Tech Munich was launched in April 2021 to help entrepreneurs, investors, and companies scale between these two countries: By fostering the innovation and technology ecosystem, we are building bridges across the Rhine,"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

explained Sabine Flechet<\/strong>, Vice President of La French Tech Munich. And further:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Bits & Pretzels was the natural partner to foster this relationship and help French and German startups conquer Europe and thus rise to the level of the American and Asian champions."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Bits & Pretzels and President Macron's plans<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The collaboration with Bits & Pretzels also aims to create opportunities to unite French tech companies already active in Bavaria. It also aims to further foster the Bavarian startup ecosystem's interest in tech-savvy players and partners in France. French scaleups such as Qonto, Payfit, Lifen, October, Lengow, and Lemonway have already expressed interest in exhibiting in the French Corner and participating in several core phases of Bits & Pretzels.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This supports La French Tech Munich<\/a> This is also the mission of Scale-Up Europe \u2013 an initiative launched by French President Emmanuel Macron in December 2020. It has set ambitious goals: by 2025, one in four unicorns worldwide should be a European startup. And by 2030, at least ten European tech companies should reach a valuation of \u20ac100 billion or more. To achieve this, the initiative aims to create financing opportunities for the most innovative startups and digital players by mobilizing institutional investors.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

A new feature awaits participants at Bits & Pretzels, scheduled for September 25-27: France will be the first country ever to be featured as a guest country at the startup festival.
