\"Chargex<\/a>
Chargex took on the challenge in 2020. The Munich-based startup has developed a modular charging system for electric cars specifically designed for charging in underground garages and workplaces. The system allows multiple charging points to be installed and intelligently operated at a single connection. Despite plenty of praise from TV investors, Chargex left the lion's den without an offer<\/a>. The celebrity investors probably regret their restraint today: In January, the Munich-based company was able to Close Series A round with \u20ac4.5 million<\/a>. \"Phenom<\/a>
Carsten Maschmeyer, on the other hand, proved to have a good nose in the 4th season of the Lion's Den in 2017: He joined the video recruiting startup Talentcube for 400,000 euros<\/a> and received a third of the company shares. Last year, HR tech company Phenom, headquartered in Philadelphia, acquired Talentcube<\/a>For Maschmeyer, the investment has likely paid off. \"Letsact<\/a>
The founders of the volunteering platform Letsact came across strong headwinds from TV investors<\/a>Georg Kofler even accused the young social entrepreneurs of "double standards" in light of the proposed valuation of \u20ac3 million. The other investors also disagreed with the combination of volunteerism and entrepreneurship. Wisefood produces sustainable single-use and reusable products for the hospitality industry and private customers. Back then, under the name Eatapple, the Munich-based company presented its edible straws in the Lion's Den in 2018 and was met with considerable disappointment: Investors criticized the smell and taste of the prototype. Since then, Wisefood has significantly developed its straws and launched a whole range of other products. The Munich-based company has already completed several financing rounds, most recently in September 2021<\/a>.
