All dates, registration links, and other events can be found in our <a href=\"\/en\/events\/\">calendar<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The enterprise software industry: A colorful mix<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In the <a href=\"\/insights\/\">Munich Startup Insights<\/a> There are almost 270 startups and scaleups operating in the enterprise software industry. Together, they have raised approximately \u20ac2.6 billion in approximately 230 financing rounds over the past ten years. The total value of these investments is approximately \u20ac19 billion. The term &quot;enterprise software&quot; can encompass many different business models, including those that can easily be assigned to another sector. Examples include the HR startup Personio or the medtech startup Smart-Reporting.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The industry leader is of course Celonis, currently the most valuable startup in Germany, which last year <a href=\"\/en\/73566\/celonis-becomes-a-decacorn\/\">$1 billion in its Series D<\/a> But other greats like the <a href=\"\/en\/day\/global-savings-group\/\">Global Savings Group<\/a> or <a href=\"\/en\/startups\/simscale-gmbh\/\">Simscale<\/a> contribute to the industry&#039;s impressive figures. However, in this episode, other startups play the main role: very young companies that are still at the beginning of their journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Waste management and machine maintenance: Everything can be digitized<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>One of them is <a href=\"\/en\/startups\/containergrid-gmbh\/\">Container grid<\/a> (from minute 2:55). The startup, founded only at the beginning of 2021, has set itself the task of digitizing waste management. To this end, the company has developed process management software that will enable container services, waste disposal companies, and scrap yards to largely eliminate the need for pen and paper in the future. Containergrid has already impressed with this solution at Cashwalk 2021 in the Business &amp; Enterprise category.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>And the next startup in the podcast also deals with digitalization, but in <a href=\"\/en\/startups\/remberg\/\">Remberg<\/a> (from minute 4:50) deals with things like the maintenance and repair of machines. With its so-called &quot;Extended&quot; or &quot;Anything Relationship Management&quot; (XRM), it draws on &quot;Customer Relationship Management&quot; but expands its scope to include the Internet of Things (IoT). This solution allows not only customers and contacts but also machines, systems, equipment, buildings, and other assets to be managed centrally in one place.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Tools for developers<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Starting at minute 7:10, we look at two startups that aim to provide developers of digital solutions with new tools. The first is Netzo. The company is working on an IoT solution that aims to ensure interoperability, i.e., the seamless integration of various IoT devices, solutions, and providers. With this, the three founders are responding to the ever-increasing number of connections (according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.juniperresearch.com\/press\/iot-connections-to-reach-83-bn-by-2024\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Juniper Research<\/a> 35 billion), devices (according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.statista.com\/statistics\/1101442\/iot-number-of-connected-devices-worldwide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Statista<\/a> 21.5 billion) and the solutions necessary for their operation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/zenml.io\/\">ZenML<\/a> Finally (starting at minute 9:45), an operations framework is being developed that is intended to make the transition of a machine learning project into research and production faster and easier. The solution is being developed as an open source project. Its goal is to provide the same user experience for every machine learning project as for a simple Python project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">The VC Earlybird<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Finally (from minute 12:35) we present you with <a href=\"\/en\/startups\/earlybird-venture-capital\/\">Early bird<\/a> Another of Europe&#039;s most important VCs. The Munich-based investor has been active since 1997 and manages over one billion euros in eight funds. With around 90 startups currently in its portfolio and over 40 exits, Earlybird is globally active and a valuable asset to any startup.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The enterprise software sector in Munich boasts over 270 startups and scaleups, making it the largest sector in the startup scene.
