Spaciv's cloud-based web application is aimed at companies, enabling them to analyze personnel and space data to determine their space requirements and optimize their planning. Proper office planning has become a critical success factor for companies: Workspace costs are one of the largest cost items for many companies with office-based operations. At the same time, square meter prices for commercial space are rising in many locations, while the pandemic has further accelerated the trend toward flexible working, including working from home. Spaciv<\/a> With its solution, it aims to help companies determine the right space requirements in order to calculate the optimal space mix and thus increase space productivity.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Founder of the Proptech<\/a>The founders of the startup are architect Malte Koeditz and his father, software developer Ulf Seekamp. Since 2020, both have been working with customers and partners on the product. Malte Koeditz is responsible for strategy and product vision, while Ulf Seekamp is responsible for technical implementation. According to the company, Spaciv's first customers include the Serviceplan Group, Versicherungskammer Bayern, and Commerzreal.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Excel spreadsheet vs cloud solution<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Malte Koeditz<\/strong>, co-founder of Spaciv, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Many companies now understand how important the design of workplaces and office space is for corporate culture and ultimately for business success. However, existing tools, such as customized Excel spreadsheets, are often not suitable for mapping needs dynamically, flexibly, and proactively. With our cloud-based web application, we can change this and optimize space consumption in companies. Initially, we are focusing primarily on industries with office-based activities. In the future, we want to use our solution in other areas, for example, for production facilities or urban development."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Christoph Osburg<\/strong>, Senior Investment Manager at Main Incubator, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"New Work and the associated reorientation of workplace models is a development we have been addressing at the Main Incubator for some time. Given the acceleration of this trend due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are convinced that now is the right time to enter the market with a corresponding solution. Spaciv has the potential to significantly help Commerzbank and its corporate clients optimize their space utilization.
