For the fourth time in a row, the City of Munich has awarded the "Munich's Outstanding Companies" commitment award. The award honors companies that have demonstrated outstanding commitment to improving the city's society and the living conditions of Munich's citizens.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Mayor Dieter Reiter<\/strong> is pleased with the commitment of the companies:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Numerous companies are impressively committed to the well-being of Munich's residents, thereby assuming responsibility for a vibrant and livable Munich. This social commitment is of central importance for strong cohesion and social peace in our city."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

23 applications and four categories<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A total of 23 companies applied for the award. For evaluation, the submitted projects were divided into four size categories: micro-enterprises (1-5 employees), small enterprises (6-50 employees), medium-sized enterprises (51-500 employees), and large enterprises (over 500 employees). Each category recognizes their commitment from the previous year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

To select the award winners from the twelve nominated companies, a jury consisting of independent experts in social engagement and representatives from municipal politics reviewed the various applications and evaluated them based on various criteria. The decisive factors were "external impact," "internal impact," "role model function and creativity," "sustainability," and quantitative factors.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year\u2019s winners of \u201cMunich\u2019s Outstanding Companies 2021\u201d in the large company category also include Celonis<\/a>. The software company and Munich Decacorn<\/a> enables companies to visualize their business processes using process mining and execution management, and to use this to discover and eliminate inefficiencies. With the founding of the Academic Alliance, a comprehensive teaching and learning program was created to promote education and research in the field of applied data analytics. To this end, Celonis has opened its technology free of charge for educational purposes and established a diverse program of online learning offerings, certifications, lectures, and application projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Economic success and culture of shared responsibility<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

At an awards ceremony, Mayor Verena Dietl<\/strong> the award winners for their exemplary commitment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"Today's award winners have set an example for the cohesion and a bright future of urban society. They have taken on responsibility and provided concrete support to people who need our help. A shared, social coexistence succeeds when economic success is combined with a culture of shared responsibility.
