Ocell is developing a software<\/a>to digitize forestry. The Munich<\/a> combine remote sensing of forests and woodlands with artificial intelligence analysis. This improves forestry processes and simplifies forest management.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Together with three partners, the F\u00fcrst Fugger-Babenhausen agricultural and forestry enterprises in Augsburg, the Graf zu Toerring-Jettenbach forestry administration in Seefeld, and the F\u00fcrst Wallerstein forestry enterprises in N\u00f6rdlingen, Ocell is conducting a project to further test the use of artificial intelligence in forestry. The project is titled "AI in the Forest \u2013 AI and Big Data-Based Process Optimizations for the Development of Climate-Resilient Forests in a Sustainable and Digital Forestry 4.0." The goal is to further develop the software and test it in the enterprises. The Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs is now covering half of the project costs, a total of \u20ac529,700. The total project budget thus amounts to over \u20ac1 million. Ocell co-founder David Dohmen<\/strong> tells Munich Startup:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Ocell has recently announced several other successes: The Munich-based company secured first place in the Startup Competition Forst 2021. Furthermore, the startup has entered into a strategic project partnership with Dekadata, maker of the timber recording app Timberdata.
