The "Picus Venture Year" lasts seven to nine months and takes participants through three stations. For the first three months, they will be part of the Picus Pre-Seed team, where they will primarily gain exposure to the investor perspective. This is followed by three months in the Picus Seed\/Series A team, where they will gain insights into the interface between investors and startups. Afterward, participants can decide whether to complete their gap year at a startup from the Picus portfolio (including Alasco<\/a>, Avi Medical<\/a>, Finn<\/a>, HawkAI<\/a>, Limehome<\/a>, Personio<\/a> and Sento) and\/or a four-week internship \u2013 with the possibility of extension \u2013 at the non-profit organization 264.education.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program is complemented by individual mentoring as well as kick-off and networking events. There, participants can meet experts from the Picus ecosystem and expand their network for their future careers. Participants also receive compensation during their time at Picus and the portfolio startups.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Gap Year for students of all disciplines<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Students of all disciplines who will complete their bachelor's degree in 2022 and begin their master's degree in 2023, or who would like to take a gap year in the startup ecosystem after their studies, can submit their application, including certificates, grades, and CV, by January 16. An EU work permit is required for the Picus Venture Year.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

After the application deadline, interviews will take place in March and May 2022, before the first batch begins work in October 2022. Applications for the second batch are expected to close in July 2022, with participants beginning work in January 2023.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
