The new round of the Science4Life business plan competition has started. Those interested in founding a company as well as startups from the life sciences and chemistry sectors can once again submit their ideas for the Science4Life Venture Cup<\/a> Energy startups are invited to apply for the Science4Life Energy Cup<\/a> to apply.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe year 2021 has shown that startups have the right prerequisites to respond quickly to current challenges and drive important innovations, even in crisis situations,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

explains Science4Life project manager Lutz M\u00fcller<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The competition offers around 85,000 euros in prize money, access to a network of over 300 industry experts, and the Science4Life Academy with online seminars and digital events.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interested parties can now Register online<\/a> and submit their three-page idea outline for the first phase by October 22, 2021. Each team will receive detailed written feedback from the experts, highlighting the strengths and weaknesses of their business idea. The best teams will be invited to the digital Science4Life Academy Day. There, they will receive individual coaching and the opportunity to discuss and further develop their plans in one-on-one meetings with industry experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Science4Life: Competition in three phases<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Both the Venture Cup and the Energy Cup are divided into three phases: The initial ideation phase focuses on the business idea and its market potential, allowing teams to identify opportunities early and adapt their strategy in a timely manner. In the subsequent concept phase, the business model is fine-tuned in collaboration with industry experts. The business plan phase is the third and final phase of the competition: In this phase, startups describe their business project in detail and develop detailed implementation plans.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interested parties and founders also have the option of participating in selected phases. Teams that are already more advanced with their business concept can also enter the competition directly in Phase 3.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the business plan competition was founded in 1998, more than 8,000 people have participated in the competition and over 2,400 business ideas have been submitted and evaluated. Winners last year<\/a> Four Munich startups, Deoxy, Cellunite, Dermagnostix and Pionierkraft, were also included.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
