However, what bothers many alternative milk drinkers is the packaging. Most plant-based alternatives are sold in beverage cartons. So what can you do if you want to avoid this packaging waste? <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Organic Labs: Powder instead of cardboard<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In response to this question, the Munich-based startup Organic Labs has developed an oat drink powder that, when combined with water, turns into oat milk. The oat drink powder consists of just one ingredient: organic whole-grain oats. The raw material is processed using a special process to give the powder solubility and sweetness. According to the startup, no additives are used. The packaging for the oat drink powder is also 100 percent recyclable with waste paper. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\"><div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">\n<iframe title=\"Organic Super Oats: The freshest and most sustainable plant-based milk alternative in the world!\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/GqBbV_LZJ-0?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe>\n<\/div><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>To finance the first production unit, Organic Labs is currently relying on <a href=\"\/en\/day\/crowdfunding\/\">Crowdfunding<\/a>The first funding hurdle of 10,000 euros has already been reached. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.startnext.com\/en\/biosuperhafer\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Supporters can still pre-order the product until August 15<\/a> and thereby support the crowdfunding campaign, delivery is scheduled for the end of August.
