After Lilium<\/a>\u00a0At the beginning of the week an order from 220 jets by the Brazilian airline Azul<\/a> could confirm, it is also clear who will be on board as a main supplier of battery cells for series production: Custom cells<\/a>The company, which was spun off from the Fraunhofer Institute in 2012, recently completed a financing round with the participation of European technology investors Vsquared Ventures and 468 Capital. Porsche Ventures, the corporate venture arm of the Stuttgart-based sports car manufacturer, also participated in the investment round as a financial investor.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Customcells is the ideal partner<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Customcells will develop the Lilium battery technology for series production and produce tailor-made batteries based on state-of-the-art, high-tech solutions. Production according to international standards is expected to enable higher performance and faster charging. The planned market launch of the Lilium Jet is 2024. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
