Please introduce yourselves briefly!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tushaar Bhatt, Convaise: <\/em>Convaise is a software startup with the goal of making communication between organizations in regulated markets and their users as intuitive and efficient as possible. Over the past 10 years, our communication has shifted from emails, calls, and text messages to messaging services like WhatsApp, Zoom, and Slack. However, much of this progress has not yet reached communication with companies and government agencies, as forms, calls, faxes, and emails still dominate. We have made it our mission to change this and create the most intuitive and effective way to interact with organizations by helping government agencies and companies transform analog, complex, and inefficient customer and citizen interactions into intuitive, effective, chat-based customer experiences. To this end, we have built the no-code conversational agent builder &quot;Convaise Studio,&quot; which our customers can use to design and develop their customer experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Our founding team of Jakob, Stefan, and me met while studying business informatics at the Technical University of Munich. As part of the international innovation competition Microsoft Imagine Cup, we developed an assistant that helps socially disadvantaged people communicate easily with public institutions and organizations such as insurance companies or banks. However, we quickly realized that it would be more effective if administrations, insurance companies, and banks had a solution that enabled them to develop their own assistants to simplify interactions\u2014the original idea behind &quot;Convaise Studio.&quot; We all have academic and industrial backgrounds in the design and development of software and AI solutions in the automotive, energy, and insurance industries and have participated in various entrepreneurship programs such as <a href=\"\/en\/startups\/xpreneurs\/\">Xpreneurs<\/a>, <a href=\"\/en\/2247\/managemore-the-optimal-preparation-for-your-professional-future\/\">Manage &amp; More<\/a> and the <a href=\"\/en\/51253\/asked-at-insurtech-hub-munich\/\">Insurtech Hub Munich<\/a> go through.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Public administration can save 6 billion euros annually<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Munich Startup:<\/em> What problem does your startup solve?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tushaar Bhatt: <\/em>Think back to the last time you changed your address or purchased additional insurance with your insurer. You probably had to write multiple emails, wait on hold, or fill out a ton of complex forms. This interaction is not only complex and frustrating for us as customers or citizens, but also extremely inefficient for these organizations, as it leads to overworked employees and, due to many manual, error-prone steps, high process costs and inaccurate data. Billions of dollars in business potential are wasted. Digitizing the 35 most important citizen services in Germany alone would save taxpayers \u20ac6 billion annually. Imagine if registering your car were as easy as making appointments with your friends via WhatsApp \u2013 we do that!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Munich Startup:<\/em> But that&#039;s been around for a long time!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tushaar Bhatt:<\/em> Our solution focuses on helping our customers transform complex, high-value customer interactions. Our no-code approach enables our customers to implement this transformation quickly and entirely independently. By leveraging our integration options and using existing communication artifacts for our NLP models, mapping such customer interactions is significantly faster and easier than with comparable solutions. Furthermore, our solution is optimized for the respective prevailing legal frameworks, such as the Online Access Act in the public sector.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Munich Startup:<\/em> What have been your three biggest challenges so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tushaar Bhatt:<\/em> We repeatedly notice that in large administrations it is difficult to identify all relevant contacts responsible for issues relating to digitalization and citizen services. This is no trivial task, as we want to involve administration, politics, and IT stakeholders as early as possible in order to develop the best solutions for citizens and the administration. The situation is similar in large companies and their stakeholders. Our second challenge came at the beginning of the coronavirus pandemic. We quickly decided to develop coronavirus-specific solutions, which presented us with the challenge of developing and implementing these solutions in the shortest possible time. We succeeded and were able to support public institutions such as health authorities, for example, by automatically communicating with suspected cases and people in quarantine. At the same time, the entire team moved to home offices, and we switched our collaboration to 100 percent remote. This was a big change at first, but once we discovered the right tools and methodologies for us, we adapted very well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Convaise: \u201cMuch of what we do would not be possible without the ecosystem at the Munich location\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Munich Startup:<\/em> How are things going?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tushaar Bhatt:<\/em> At the beginning of the pandemic, we noticed that the general uncertainty caused potential customers in all sectors to postpone decisions. However, this changed relatively quickly, and we observed a significant shift that built significant momentum toward digitalization across all our industries. This is, of course, also beneficial for us because our solution enables us to accelerate precisely this momentum by helping our partners and customers easily and digitally map their citizen and customer interactions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We have already onboarded public sector administrations with a total of over 2 million residents onto our platforms and mapped over 100,000 interactions via our platform and the associated assistants. Our corporate customers are primarily insurance companies and service providers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong><em>Munich Startup:<\/em> How do you rate Munich as a startup location?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>Tushaar Bhatt:<\/em> Much of what we do would not be possible without the ecosystem at our Munich location. Our proximity to the university has allowed us to find many talented employees, and the entrepreneurship programs and startup accelerators available here, especially those from UnternehmerTUM, such as Xpreneurs and Manage &amp; More, the Insurtech Hub Munich, and Werk1, have provided us with significant guidance and support during various phases of our company&#039;s development. We still use much of what we learned here on a daily basis. The networks associated with the programs are extremely valuable and indispensable to us.
