The Pirate Summit in Cologne usually has a Burning Man feel to it. This year, however, this somewhat more unconventional startup event, like Pirate Live, is being limited to a purely online experience. Under the hashtag #raiseyoursails, the focus from August 30 to September 3 is on those who turn adversity into opportunity\u2014companies and individuals alike. Electric, hydrogen, or perhaps "Carmageddon"? At Shift Mobility on September 2 and 3, everything will revolve around the future of mobility. Since the conference is part of the "IFA Extended" series and IFA itself has been canceled for 2021, "Shiftx" will take place in a mixed-reality format. The Berlin studio will bring together critical thinkers, leading scientists, game-changers, inventors, and C-level corporate representatives from around the world.
