Numerous organizations are working to support young people. <strong>Wolfgang Grewe<\/strong>, Chairman of the Board of the Deloitte Foundation, on the motivation behind the Hidden Movers Award:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&quot;Hidden Movers are little known, but their potential is great. We are looking for initiatives that bring about lasting change in the lives of young people by improving educational opportunities. Our applicants often take unusual, but also particularly effective, paths toward the goal of greater educational equality. We want to strengthen these approaches nationwide and make them role models.&quot;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The Deloitte Foundation supports this commitment with the Hidden Movers Award in three ways: In addition to prize money of \u20ac75,000, the winners receive professional coaching from Social Entrepreneurship Akademie. This applies regardless of whether the initiative is still in its infancy or has already gained extensive experience. In addition, the winners receive six months of support and pro bono consulting from Deloitte experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Targeted projects in unusual times<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Education has many facets. This is also reflected in the previous winners of the Hidden Movers Award. They range from projects for intercultural encounters and language support to mentoring and coaching programs and the promotion of digital skills. Crucially, the initiatives must be transferable to other regions in Germany and thus scalable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&quot;The coronavirus crisis poses significant challenges to our education system. We clearly see that adolescents and young adults need support. The Hidden Movers projects are tackling this in a targeted manner and creating new ways of meeting and imparting knowledge. We especially need this in these unusual times,&quot;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>explained <strong>Martin Plendl<\/strong>, CEO of the European Deloitte DCE network and Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Deloitte Foundation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Applications are possible until May 5<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hidden-movers.de\/hidden-movers\/hidden-movers-award\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Application is online<\/a> The competition is open until May 5, 2021. Educational initiatives have the opportunity to present themselves: from the initial idea to their personal motivation and impact on their target groups. In a second step, the selected applicants are invited to provide the jury with an insight into their initiative in a video.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The jury consists of experts from academia, business, media, and the non-profit sector. They will award the prize to a total of five winning projects in the categories of innovation, growth, and language promotion.
