Seven questions, seven answers. Munich Startup speaks today with Jasper Sasse, founder of spoteffects.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Who are you? Please introduce yourselves briefly!\"Jasper<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n

spot effects <\/a>has been around since 2013. While I didn't build the company alone, but with many supporters of various kinds, I am the sole founder: Jasper Sasse, 38, a business graduate. I am also married, and we have two children. In a team of twelve people, including freelancers and working students, we are currently working at full speed on the further development of the company and our product.<\/p>\n

2. What product do you want to use to change the world?<\/strong><\/p>\n

spoteffects is a Software-as-a-Service solution<\/strong>, which allows TV advertising planners to create campaigns for online shops and other websites based on the number of\"spoteffects_home\"<\/a>to optimize the number of website visits and conversions generated per ad broadcast, instead of basing their planning solely on the number of viewers reached in the selected target group. spoteffects enables this by bridging the media gap between TV and web by merging TV broadcast data and web tracking data using our sophisticated algorithm.<\/p>\n

3. But that's been around for a long time!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Not really: There's only one provider in Germany that focuses entirely on this topic, and that's us. This allows us to offer a significantly better product and service than the in-house solutions of our clients, the add-ons of large tools, or the self-built solutions of some agencies. This is why many agencies and clients switch to us.<\/p>\n

4. What has been your biggest challenge so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n

It's hard to say, there were some major challenges to overcome, from contract negotiations to IT issues to finding financing, but looking back, things have actually gone pretty smoothly so far.<\/p>\n

5. Let\u2019s get down to business: How is business going?<\/strong><\/p>\n

Good! Our revenue is growing by 15 million 1TP1452 million per month, we've reached break-even, so we really can't complain. Even more importantly, our customers aren't complaining either; our customer satisfaction is very high, which is especially important to us. What also makes me happy is the fact that more and more customers are coming to us from abroad\u2014we're now even analyzing TV advertising in India, Australia, and the USA.<\/p>\n

6. What does Munich mean to you? <\/strong><\/p>\n

For me, the startup location Munich means compared to Berlin \u201cQuality instead of quantity.\u201d <\/strong>I'm convinced that the success rate of Munich startups is significantly higher than in Berlin. Perhaps Berlin, with its great culture and scene, appeals more to younger people, while Munich, which boasts more safety, cleanliness, and comfort, appeals more to people like me in the next phase of life \u2013 and a bit more professional experience can significantly increase a founder's chances of success.<\/p>\n
