A framework agreement concluded between Deutsche Bahn and the IIOT startup Konux is intended to advance the digitalization of the German railway network. Andreas Kunze<\/strong>, co-founder and managing director of the 2014 founded Munich startups<\/a>, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

"We are proud that Deutsche Bahn, as a technology pioneer in Europe, is embarking on its first-ever cloud-based SaaS infrastructure project together with us, a startup partner. For us, this is the biggest milestone to date in our vision of transforming rail transport for a sustainable future. We want to do our part to make rail systems more reliable worldwide, so that more people and goods can be transported using this environmentally friendly mode of transport."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

The Konux predictive maintenance system for railway switches uses sensors and artificial intelligence to continuously and autonomously monitor the condition of critical switch components. The system predicts the condition of switches over time, preventing failures and optimizing maintenance planning. This is intended to increase network capacity, reliability, and cost efficiency. Ronald Pofalla<\/strong>, Deutsche Bahn Board Member responsible for infrastructure, says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Konux has won a tender from Deutsche Bahn for the condition monitoring of switches.
