Connected. Mobile.&quot; The award-winning projects demonstrated how digital networking helps make mobility safer, more efficient, and more sustainable.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The two winning teams from Munich are Pylot and Upride. Both startups have recently been honored with Munich awards. Pylot is also the proud winner of the <a href=\"\/en\/64775\/pylot-wins-the-munich-startup-award-2020\/\">Munich Startup Awards 2020<\/a>The Munich-based startup offers a \u201cremote-controlled\u201d solution for autonomous driving. With its <a href=\"\/en\/ecosystem\/map\/pylot-gmbh\/\">Teleoperation solution<\/a> It could actually become a reality that in the future we will be able to travel from A to B in driverless vehicles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Munich-based startup Upride also prevailed against 309 other companies, startups, research institutions, and associations for the German Mobility Award. The company collects bicycle data for better planning. A tracker collects bicycle traffic data on the use and condition of the infrastructure, as well as road safety data. This helps Upride help municipalities maintain and future-proof their cycling infrastructure. Upride also presented this idea at the <a href=\"\/en\/51139\/innovation-prize-2019-awarded-by-the-city-of-munich\/\">Munich Innovation Award 2019<\/a> convinced, back then under the name Bike Solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Startups impress in Munich at the mobility award<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Andreas Scheuer<\/strong>, Federal Minister of Transport and Digital Infrastructure, congratulated the winning teams:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\">\n<p>&quot;With your smart innovations for digital and environmentally friendly mobility, you are creating a bright future. This is the entrepreneurial spirit we need again in Germany. I thank you for that.&quot;<\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>A jury of experts from the fields of business, science, society, and politics selected the ten best projects. The other eight Best Practice award winners are not only startups, but also some projects from established companies and transport associations. Overview:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Hybrid Airplane Technologies: An innovative hybrid aircraft combines the advantages of a drone and a balloon for versatile use. (Baden-Baden \/ Baden-W\u00fcrttemberg)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Valeo switches and sensors and an intelligent pedestrian crossing. Perception-based, intelligent traffic light control: A contactless traffic light control system helps avoid crowds in the waiting area of pedestrian crossings. (Kronach, Bavaria)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>FMS Future Mobility Solutions: The Virtual City@FMS software enables the visualization and simulation of mobility concepts and traffic priorities. (Gaimersheim \/ Bavaria)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Carr\u00e9 Mobility: Carr\u00e9 Mobility offers intelligent mobility services by and for the neighborhood community. (Berlin and R\u00fcsselsheim am Main, Hesse)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Siemens Mobility with &#039;RXX \u2013 digital and optimally connected&#039;: Intelligent maintenance and repair extend the lifecycles of the Rhine-Ruhr Express trains and improve passenger service. (Erlangen, Bavaria and Dortmund, North Rhine-Westphalia)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>ZEDAS, with an app that ensures expedited train dispatch from A to Z. With the help of this app, train dispatch can be carried out paperlessly directly on the train. (Senftenberg \/ Brandenburg)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The Mittelth\u00fcringen Transport Association (VMT) offers a swipe-based check-in and check-out: The project enables uncomplicated and intuitive mobility on public transport. (Erfurt, Thuringia)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Stadtwerke Osnabr\u00fcck with its project \u2018HubChain \u2013 Networking of on-demand shuttle and scheduled<abbr title=\"Public transport\">Public transport<\/abbr>&#039;: The project develops and tests software for connecting on-demand and scheduled public transport in rural areas.
