The winners of the Strascheg Award can look forward to prize money of over 30,000 euros. In each of the three categories, the first to third-place ideas will receive 5,000, 3,000, and 2,000 euros, respectively. Another highlight was the audience award "Best Pitch<\/a> Award\u201d with prize money of 500 euros.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For many, participating in the Strascheg Award is just the first step. All participants have the opportunity to have a personal consultation and receive qualified feedback on their business idea with the start-up consultants of the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship<\/a> (SCE). They can also apply for the Startup Certificate, a funding program for aspiring entrepreneurs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Winners of the Strascheg Award 2020<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Category 1 \u2013 Best business idea from a course:<\/strong>

1st place (5,000 euros prize money)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The\u00a0ORIBOX<\/strong>\u00a0is a versatile reusable box for all households, which can be stored in even the smallest bag in no time at all thanks to the origami folding technique.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd place (3,000 euros prize money)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

AIMIS-FYT<\/strong>\u00a0is developing a new additive manufacturing process for orbit to increase satellite efficiency while reducing unit costs for manufacturers and distributors of small to micro satellites and satellite constellations.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3rd place (2,000 euros prize money)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Aephus<\/strong> offers a standalone, wearable fall detection device which, with its modern design and optimal user-friendliness, particularly addresses those users who are put off by existing products due to high technical, price and visual barriers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category 2 \u2013 Best business idea during your studies:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1st place (5,000 euros prize money)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

MCARE<\/strong>\u00a0is the digital companion to provide psychological support to breast cancer patients from the moment of diagnosis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd place (3,000 euros prize money)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

STEPTICS\u00a0<\/strong>uses an automated process for the production of fiber composite components to produce high-performance carbon prostheses at low cost, thus enabling adequate healthcare for people with amputations worldwide.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

3rd place (2,000 euros prize money)<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Meetastic<\/strong>\u00a0is the digital leisure assistant that allows you to organize all appointments and leisure activities in a group stress-free, via app or web, so that the user has more time for friends, family and social activities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Category 3 \u2013 Best business idea from science and practice:<\/strong>

1st place (5,000 euros prize money)<\/strong>

Puray<\/strong>\u00a0offers self-sterilizing catheter solutions for high-risk patients in intensive care units to minimize the risk of catheter-associated urinary tract infection.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

2nd place (3,000 euros prize money)<\/strong>

Lilo\u207a\u00a0<\/strong>is the walking aid for elderly people in the digital world. Lilo\u207a can do everything a smartphone can and is as easy to use as a light switch.

3rd place (2,000 euros prize money)<\/strong>

HEALYXZ<\/strong>\u00a0develops electronic heat\/cold patches to relieve intramuscular pain for people suffering from tension-related back pain.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The \u201cBest Pitch Award\u201d, endowed with 500 euros, went to OTHER Hero, <\/strong><\/strong>which aims to give people the opportunity to use new technologies to which they previously had no access, thus providing better orthopedic care for patients.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
