Munich Startup<\/em>:<\/strong> Who are you and what do you do? Please introduce yourselves briefly!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nui Care<\/a>:<\/em> We are Markus C. M\u00fcller, 47, a lawyer; Jochen Seemann, 52, a computer science graduate; and Chris Ehl, 50, a computer science graduate. Mutual acquaintances and a shared interest in problem solving brought us together.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup<\/em>: What problem does your startup solve?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nui Care<\/em>: When our parents or elderly people need support and help in old age, it often leads to physical, emotional, and financial difficulties for their relatives. Balancing caregiving and work presents an additional challenge.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Digital assistant for care<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Since the topic of caregiving is often new to relatives, there is a great need for the right information at the right time. Nui is working on a digital assistant that will reactively answer all relevant questions for family caregivers, while also proactively providing tips and alerting them to developments in the caregiving journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup<\/em>: But that's been around for a long time!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nui Care<\/em>: So far, this has only been available in analog form, as a person-to-person care advisor. Of course, something like this is only scalable to a limited extent. Ultimately, we see the optimal combination of both\u2014a digital advisor and a real person.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup<\/em>: Was there a point where you almost failed?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nui Care<\/em>: The German healthcare system has its pitfalls and difficulties, because although there is a lot of money in the system, innovations are not so easy to introduce.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Very heterogeneous target group<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Furthermore, family caregivers are a very heterogeneous group \u2013 because it can potentially affect anyone. In other words, addressing them isn't always easy.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup<\/em>: Where would you like to be in one year, where in five years?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nui Care<\/em>: In one year, we want to have proven in Germany that a digital companion for caregivers helps those affected and that Nui as a company can earn money from it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In five years, we want to have introduced the model internationally and \u2013 with the help of big data \u2013 make evaluations and predictions for the care journey.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup<\/em>: How do you rate Munich as a startup location?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Nui Care<\/em>: In the healthcare sector, the music is played in Berlin, which is why we are often there. Nevertheless, Munich is a good location for acquiring corporate clients and holding discussions with investors. The high standard of living also attracts highly qualified employees or motivates them to move to Munich.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Central social challenge of the coming decades<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup<\/em>:<\/strong> Quick exit or long breath?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n
