Munich Startup:<\/em> Who are you and what does Loremo do? Please introduce yourselves briefly!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franziska Scheuerle, founder of Loremo<\/em>: We are a statement art label founded in late 2019. Loremo not only embodies a personal passion for abstract art and bold, expressive color combinations, but also aims to provide self-taught artists with a platform for greater visibility \u2013 contrary to the traditional art business. After all, Pablo Picasso was once a self-taught artist. However, self-taught artists find it difficult to gain visibility in the traditional art scene these days, as the traditional art market is characterized by a system of exorbitantly expensive art schools, which in turn work closely with gallery owners, auction houses, and museums.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our concept is at the heart of the digital age and embodies a modern, fresh touch. For me personally, art is pure joie de vivre. Furnishings and works of art convey a certain image and an exclusive lifestyle. My goal is to express this exclusivity and expressiveness in my custom color combinations, adding a distinctive aesthetic touch to our clients' interior designs with tailor-made, statement pieces of art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With three clicks to the perfect individual work of art<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em> What problem does your startup solve?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franziska Scheuerle, Loremo:<\/em> Many people repeatedly encounter the same problem. They're moving into a new apartment or building a house. The first pieces of furniture are delivered and assembled, the apartment is almost completely furnished, but then something's still missing. "Honey, I think we need some more pictures," almost 95% people then say. Then you have exactly two options: art prints where neither the value nor the colors match. Or expensive investment art by renowned artists. But you have to be able to afford it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The artists at Loremo work with expressive colors with extremely high luminosity, which they capture on canvas in a modern, abstract style with passion and attention to detail. Because colors can enhance our perception, lift our moods, and enhance our well-being. Our digital platform<\/a> We want to integrate the power of expressive colors into our lives while creating statement pieces of art that match the character and personality of our customers. We've developed a simple concept that allows our B2C and B2B customers to select sizes, colors, and styles with just a few clicks under the 'Colorupyourroom' or 'Colorupyourstore' sections.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Loremo wants to convey a new attitude to life<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em> But that's been around for a long time!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franziska Scheuerle, Loremo:<\/em> While the "commissioned art" business for individual artists already exists, what doesn't yet exist is this concept as a platform for self-taught artists with a strong, modern brand at the cutting edge of the digital age. We want to convey a new attitude to life, full of expressiveness. We want to bring tailor-made, aesthetic designs into homes and offices. And we want to disrupt the traditional art market and offer a platform to all those artists who never had the privilege of attending an expensive art school and are therefore not on the radar of gallery owners, auction houses, and curators.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em> What have been your three biggest challenges so far?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franziska Scheuerle, Loremo:<\/em> The biggest challenge is perseverance. There will always be days when you think, "Can we do all this?" Many people underestimate the fact that, when starting a business, you're initially a one- or two-person operation that must therefore cover all the skills of a regular company. You can outsource and buy in skills, but every founder starts by building things on their own. This can sometimes rob you of sleepless nights, especially if, like me, you're also studying full-time.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The experience I gained from my previous nine years of professional experience was very helpful. However, I've never had any supplier meetings beforehand, for example. So the motto is "Just do it" \u2013 I don't think I've ever learned so much in such a short time. It's challenging, but that's exactly what makes it so interesting and varied. No two days are the same.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

However, I've never asked myself the question, "Why am I doing this?" Because my motto is clearly "Do what you love." And Loremo is everything I ever wanted: pure passion for aesthetics, design, and art.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cIn five years we want: Many happy customers.\u201d<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em> How are things going?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franziska Scheuerle, Loremo:<\/em> We're currently working on various projects. Among other things, we're shooting our first corporate video in August, which will be released via our social media channels and website at the end of the year. Our brand book was recently printed, and our company website was launched. We plan to apply for the ISM Founders' Award in September, and our first crowdfunding campaign will launch at the end of the year, which we're very excited about.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The facts and figures are in the business plan. But to put it briefly \u2013 in five years, we want one thing above all else: many happy customers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em> How do you rate Munich as a startup location?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franziska Scheuerle, Loremo:<\/em> My experiences so far have been positive. Munich offers a great opportunity with many Coworking<\/a>-Spaces and Startup funding programs<\/a>There's a lot on offer, and you always have the opportunity to participate in interesting coaching sessions, pitches, lectures, or networking events. Moreover, the clientele is perfectly suited for a statement art brand like Loremo.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em> Cook yourself or have it delivered?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Franziska Scheuerle, Loremo:<\/em> Cooking for myself. However, I prefer cooking with friends rather than alone. For me, cooking is a way to relax after a hard day at work.
