Clemens Baumg\u00e4rtner said at the time in Interview with Munich Startup<\/a>: "The Munich Urban Colab is designed to enable new forms of interdisciplinary collaboration. The focus is on solutions for the city of the future. Technology-driven innovations in the areas of mobility, living and working, artificial intelligence, and energy supply will be developed and tested. The 3,600-square-meter site will house 11,000 square meters of office space, Coworking<\/a>-Spaces, event and seminar rooms, and a high-tech prototype workshop similar to the maker space at UnternehmerTUM. The construction costs amount to 35 million euros and will be borne by UnternehmerTUM as the developer. Both UnternehmerTUM and the City of Munich will be shareholders in the Munich Urban Colab. Regarding the collaboration between UnternehmerTUM and the City of Munich, Clemens Baumg\u00e4rtner commented in the Interview with Munich Startup<\/a>: \u201cI am pleased that we have succeeded in UnternehmerTUM<\/a> to enter into a collaboration to realize this unique approach. The city of Munich has access to all projects and programs in the Munich Urban Colab and a wide range of opportunities to contribute its own problems or participate in test series and programs. We want to work together in a productive environment with optimal know-how and central infrastructure to develop smart solutions for the growing cities of the future.
