The aCar from Evum Motors has been available for order since mid-June. The all-wheel-drive, electric transport vehicle is designed to be used in agriculture, commerce, and industry, enabling many sectors to enter the electric mobility market.<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Electric vehicles can make an important contribution to achieving climate targets and reducing traffic-related air pollution in the future. With its electric transporter aCar, the Munich-based startup aims to Evum Motors<\/a> contribute to achieving these goals. The aCar was designed for transport tasks in commercial and industrial applications, in agriculture and forestry, and in municipal use.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

\u201cThe idea for the aCar was originally born seven years ago as part of a research project at the Technical University of Munich,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

says Sascha Koberstaedt<\/strong>, who has been managing director of Evum Motors together with Martin \u0160olt\u00e9s since 2017. Since then, both have been working together with their team on the development of the electric transporter aCar. In 2016, the scientists were awarded the Bavarian State Prize awarded<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Low complexity and maximum benefit<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The aCar was specifically designed for minimal complexity and maximum utility. The transport vehicle requires 48 V, eliminating the need for expensive high-voltage technology. Two motors form the basis for permanent all-wheel drive. The aCar can be charged from any power outlet, thus offering an easy entry into electromobility.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Since the transport vehicle produces no local emissions, it is suitable for use in logistics. With a payload of up to 1,000 kg and its trailer hitch, it can handle even larger loads. Registered in class N1, it can be driven with a standard car driver's license.
The permanent all-wheel drive is intended to offer an advantage for the agricultural and forestry sectors. The First Mover Edition's 16.5 kWh battery enables ranges of up to 100 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Sales can start now<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Thanks to its compact dimensions, the aCar can also support municipal tasks on sidewalks and in parks. An integrated 230 V socket serves as a power source for electrical tools such as hedge trimmers or saws. With a top speed of up to 70 km\/h, the aCar is suitable for inner-city traffic. The production setup in Bayerbach near Ergoldsbach in Lower Bavaria is now so advanced that the aCar can now be launched for sale.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
