Starting on March 18, the green buses of Flixbus were idle for ten weeks. Since the end of May, the mobility company has been serving selected destinations in Germany again. With the reopening of borders, the Munich-based company is also once again serving other European destinations.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

For two and a half weeks, the green buses bearing the Munich company's logo have been back on German and European roads. Initially, however, the highly limited route network only included around 50 destinations in Germany and roughly corresponded to the service offered by Flixbus at its launch in 2013, as co-founder and managing director Andr\u00e9 Schw\u00e4mmlein explained in #CoronaUpdate at Munich Startup<\/a> reported.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Opening borders enables international connections<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

A further 30 destinations have now been added, including Munich Airport. With Germany's borders to neighboring European countries reopening today, Flixbus will also resume international connections starting June 18.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A new information tool will allow passengers to view bus capacity. This allows them to reserve a connection with more available seats in advance. New hygiene measures will ensure additional safety. The buses will be disinfected after each journey and regularly ventilated. Boarding and disembarking is currently only possible through the rear bus door. Digital ticket inspection is contactless, and disinfectant is available on board. Masks are mandatory when boarding and disembarking, as well as throughout the entire journey.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
