Digitalization is connecting vehicles and infrastructure. New, sustainable drive systems are increasingly expected to replace the combustion engine, and software-based technologies such as innovative business models are redefining how people and goods move. This offers opportunities to develop the mobility ecosystem and make &#039;smart mobility&#039; a reality in the 21st century.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Wanted: Startups that help shape the mobility of the future<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The German Digital Prize is therefore seeking innovative startups from Germany, Austria, and Switzerland that are already shaping the mobility of the future. The focus is on all forms of mobility and solutions: digitized hardware and software, as well as service providers and infrastructure solutions, are relevant for &#039;The Spark&#039;.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a rel=\"noreferrer noopener\" aria-label=\"Applications can now be submitted online (opens in new tab)\" href=\"https:\/\/award.handelsblatt.com\/the-spark\/bewerben\/\" target=\"_blank\">Applications can now be submitted online<\/a>The application deadline is July 5, 2020. All applicants will undergo a multi-stage selection process before the top ten finalists present their work to the distinguished jury in live pitches. The winners will be announced at the awards ceremony on November 12.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Award for Female Founders<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>For the second time in a row, the initiators are awarding the special prize &#039;The Spark \u2014 Female Founder&#039; to a female founder from the German digital industry.
