The Munich Business Plan Competition by Baystartup<\/a> has been supporting founders from Southern Bavaria since 1996 with expert feedback and workshop programs. All participating startups receive multiple written feedback from a jury of experts, which allows the teams to further develop their concepts. The five winning teams, which prevailed against over 100 participating teams from across Southern Bavaria, will receive a total of \u20ac9,000 in prize money in Phase 2. The winners were announced yesterday evening via online livestream in front of over 300 viewers. The jury recognized the following teams in the top five places:<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1st place:<\/strong> Manyfolds<\/strong><\/a> has developed a system for environmentally friendly, safe, and size-optimized shipping packaging. An app uses image recognition to determine the optimal packaging design and automatically generates a cutting pattern. Filler material is eliminated, and less air in the packaging leads to direct reductions in logistics traffic. Customers can choose whether to organize packaging production using compact rental machines on-site or through Manyfolds' external production service. 2nd place<\/strong>: Sewts<\/strong><\/a> is a young advanced robotics startup from Munich. Focusing on the processing of easily deformable materials, the team develops artificially intelligent algorithms that control industrial robots and digitally equip existing hardware with human-like cognitive intelligence and ultra-sensitive motor skills. The team's vision is to automate the production of clothing textiles, bring them back to Europe, shorten existing transport routes, and thus reduce greenhouse gas emissions. 3rd place:<\/strong> Cognibit<\/strong> has set itself the goal of making autonomous driving safe. The startup brings the human factor into traffic simulation and can even test critical situations in the simulation, such as when a driver is distracted by their phone or a pedestrian unexpectedly steps into the road.
