Additional investors include several private individuals and a family office of a medium-sized company. The investment is expected to be in the high single-digit million range.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Munich startup <a href=\"\/en\/44763\/7-questions-robotise\/\">Robotise<\/a> has developed a service robot that autonomously and mobilely performs various repetitive tasks in the field of intralogistics within buildings. The first modular service robot, called Jeeves, which can be controlled and monitored via the Robotise cloud connection, is intended for use primarily in hospitals, rehabilitation centers, large doctor&#039;s offices, and nursing homes, as well as in hotels, office buildings, and airports. There, the robots are intended to relieve nursing and service staff of simpler tasks.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The funds from the current financing round will be used to further increase the maturity of the service robots, prepare for small-scale production, optimize the software components, and establish the technology, initially in the DACH region. With the completion of this financing round, the total capital raised by Robotise amounts to a high single-digit million amount.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Significant growth potential for Robotise&#039;s technology<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>George Ried<\/strong>, Managing Director of <a href=\"\/en\/58518\/interview-with-roman-huber-from-bayern-kapital-2\/\">Bavaria Capital<\/a>, says about the investment:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&quot;We are convinced that service robotics will play a central role in many sectors, especially in the healthcare industry, especially in times of particular economic and personnel challenges. This allows simple, repetitive tasks to be automated. This is precisely where Robotise&#039;s technology offers significant growth potential. The service robot opens up new possibilities for automating processes in the service industry and can help many companies redeploy staff to more complex tasks\u2014which ultimately benefits patients, customers, and guests, as well as the employees themselves.&quot;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Bavaria&#039;s Minister of Economic Affairs <strong>Hubert Aiwanger<\/strong> says:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&quot;Robotics plays a strategically important role for Bavaria\u2014not only in manufacturing, but also in all areas of the service sector. This first round of growth financing is very important for us to further develop our product and establish it in the market\u2014a major step, especially for a product company in the high-tech sector. In the current situation, Jeeves can facilitate the care of isolated COVID-19 patients, for example, by providing them with drinks or snacks. While doctors and nurses have to laboriously don protective clothing for these tasks, Jeeves can work seamlessly in isolation wards. This minimizes contact between COVID-19 patients and other people, thus reducing the risk of infection for hospital staff.
