The Munich-based startup Peter Park has the vision of transforming parking spaces into mobility hubs. The team has developed software that uses license plate recognition technology to enable the digital management of parking spaces. The system, developed by the Werk1 startup center<\/a> based startups is already being used throughout Germany.<\/strong> An interview with the four founders.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> Who are you and what do you do?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter Park: <\/em>We offer parking operators a cloud-based B2BPlatform for efficient management of parking spaces<\/a> and parking garages. License plates are scanned at entrances and exits. The software automatically records the parking activity in compliance with data protection regulations. This eliminates barriers or parking disc checks entirely. Parking users can also pay via parking apps or by entering their license plate number at a vending machine.

Our management team consists of Maximilian Schlereth (CEO, 27 years old), Florian Schaule (CTO, 30 years old), Patrick Bartler (COO, 28 years old), and Stefan Schenk (CBDO, 27 years old). Maximilian and Florian met through a previous project in the parking sector. Florian, Patrick, and Stefan already knew each other from their time studying for an MBA at the Coll\u00e8ge des Ing\u00e9nieurs (CDI). Together, we recognized the potential of digitalization in the parking industry and are now working with our team on its direct implementation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter Park: Parking spaces should become versatile mobility hubs<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Munich Startup:<\/em><\/strong> But that's been around for a long time!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Peter Park:<\/em> We build on long-term collaboration: Our solution specifically addresses the needs of parking operators. We also work closely with established parking app providers to enable convenient payment via smartphone.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Another aspect is the development of new use cases and sustainability. For example, Peter Park can make empty supermarket parking spaces accessible to residents at night. This helps municipalities reduce land consumption and manage the daily traffic caused by residents searching for parking spaces.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our vision is to transform parking spaces into versatile mobility hubs, with flexible interfaces for various mobility services, such as e-charging stations or last-mile solutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
