A total of 10 teams can look forward to this award, each endowed with 500 euros, and extensive written feedback on their business concept. The award-winning solutions range from a B2B marketplace for animal and plant by-products (Byprotex) to an intelligent sensor platform for the management of forests and climate-relevant ecosystems (FoldAI), plant-based food substitutes (Happy Ocean Foods), and environmentally friendly shipping packaging (<a href=\"\/en\/ecosystem\/manyfolds-ug\/\">Manyfolds<\/a>). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Sustainability, Software &amp; Robotics<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In addition to sustainability approaches, business models from the health and medicine sectors were also recognized. These include a new analysis system for the molecular diagnostics of skin diseases (Dermagnostix), a digital platform to support the treatment of severe mental illnesses (<a href=\"\/en\/ecosystem\/mindpax-gmbh\/\">Mindpax<\/a>) as well as new therapies designed to prevent nerve damage in patients with neurological diseases such as Parkinson&#039;s (Neurevo). <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Other award-winning startups come from the fields of software and robotics: the teams develop intelligent industrial robots for the processing of textiles (<a href=\"\/en\/55970\/sewts-interview\/\">Sewts<\/a>), quality tests in the production of lithium-ion cells (Crino) and an identity and access management solution for greater IT security (<a href=\"\/en\/ecosystem\/qbound\/\">Qbound<\/a>). \u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">First, important feedback on the business plan<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>In Phase 1 of Baystartup&#039;s Munich Business Plan Competition, a total of 150 startups from Munich and southern Bavaria submitted their business plans. Participants were required to submit a multi-page business plan outline, focusing primarily on their business idea and its customer benefits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">High technical depth<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Carsten Rudolph<\/strong>, Managing Director of Baystartup, says: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>&quot;The winners once again demonstrate several characteristics of the Bavarian startup scene: a high level of technical depth, a tremendous diversity of topics, and a strong B2B orientation. With genuine innovations, successful startups are possible in all areas.&quot;&nbsp;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>Startups from southern Bavaria can now apply for competition phase 2 until March 17, 2020, even if they did not participate in phase 1.
