Possible topics include new materials, manufacturing methods such as 3D printing, and the digitalization of the aviation industry. Under the name &quot;IDL Aviation Talents,&quot; the award focuses on schoolchildren, students, and young professionals.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"> \u201cIDL Aviation Talents\u201d now every two years<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>From this year onwards, the award will be presented annually to young and experienced aviation innovators: In even-numbered years, the <a href=\"\/en\/day\/award\/\">Price<\/a> The &quot;IDL Aviation Talents&quot; program is aimed at young participants. In odd-numbered years, the &quot;IDL Aviation Masters&quot; award is aimed at experienced experts.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cWith the reorientation of the Aviation Innovation Award and the associated opening of the competition to young talents, we are offering our young talent the opportunity to contribute creative ideas to shaping the environmentally friendly air transport of the future,\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>says <strong>Rolf Henke<\/strong>, DLR Executive Board Member for Aeronautics Research and Technology.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Presentation at the ILA<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>Interested parties can apply until March 31, 2020 in three categories: pupils and high school graduates (up to 20 years of age), students and graduates (20-25 years of age) and young professionals (25-30 years of age and a maximum of 2 years of full-time employment).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The ideas do not need to be fully developed. Visions and initial ideas are also welcome. All those shortlisted will receive an invitation to the International Aerospace Exhibition in Berlin. There, the finalists will pitch their ideas on May 13th on the ILA Future Lab stage in front of a large audience of representatives from industry, science, politics, and the media from the aerospace sector.
