TechFounders is entering its 11th round. The UnternehmerTUM accelerator program will support eight innovative tech startups in Munich over the next few weeks.<\/strong> and prepare for the next round of financing. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The current participants of the 11th Techfounders batch have 20 intensive weeks ahead of them. During this time, the startups will be prepared for scaling their company and their next financing round through individual training, coaching, and mentoring. In addition, each of the eight startups will conduct a pilot project with one of Techfounders' corporate partners. Techfounders<\/a> carry out. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The eight startups that are part of the current batch will present themselves at the end of the 20-week program at Techfounders Demo Day<\/a> on May 28th in front of an audience consisting of venture capital firms, business angels, industry partners, interested parties and the media. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

That participation in the Techfounders program<\/a> A look at past batches shows how worthwhile it is: 91 percent of the program's alumni companies are still active. In recent years, Techfounders alumni startups have raised a total of \u20ac275 million in funding and created over 1,300 jobs. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Batch 11: the participants<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

Bitvox<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bitvox aims to revolutionize the way factory workers work. The startup, founded by Tobias Lehmann, has developed Hea\u00b2r, an intelligent hearing software that records the work environment and supports work processes with a voice assistant. The Hea\u00b2r headset transmits information, such as machine instructions, directly to the worker via the headset. It also aims to provide optimal active protection against noise and offers the ability to make phone calls despite noisy environments. Festo is Bitvox's corporate partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changers<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Changers has developed an app that aims to motivate sustainable behavior in a playful and competitive way. The Changers CO2<\/sub> Fit app tracks active participation, calculates CO2<\/sub>-balances and rewards sustainable behavior with CO2<\/sub>Tokens that can be redeemed for tree plantings, donations, or vouchers from employers, the city administration, or participating retailers. Changers' corporate partners are Datev and ADAC.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Retorio<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There is an AI that requires only a one-minute video of a person to derive a highly accurate personality profile. This AI forms the core of Retorio, an AI-enabled video recruiting platform. The Munich-based startup Retorio, founded in 2018 by Dr. Christoph Hohenberger, Dr. Patrick Oehler, and Addurrahman Namli, has developed software that enables companies to identify the personality traits and soft skills of their applicants within minutes of initial contact. Retorio automatically matches candidates to open positions, thus improving the quality, speed, sustainability, and scalability of the hiring process. ADAC is Retorio's corporate partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Wheel.me<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

With the launch of the world's first autonomous wheel, Wheel.me aims to become a preferred platform for indoor mobility and material handling by 2022. The Norwegian company, founded by Atle Timenes and Rolf Libakken, has developed and patented a hidden wheel system that allows objects to be moved simply by voice, the Wheel.me app, or a Bluetooth remote control. This makes it possible, for example, to change room layouts or relocate heavy equipment by simply telling them where to go. Wheel.me's corporate partner is Miele.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orbitless<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Canadian startup Orbitless aims to change the standards of gearbox design by replacing traditional, noisy and inefficient gear heads with a secondary carrier. The Orbitless design effectively results in lower noise levels and a more efficient gearbox without compromising torque. The products can be used in all geared motor applications, such as robotics, medical devices, and electric vehicles. The Orbitless gearbox has already been patented in the US, China, and Europe. Knorr-Bremse is Orbitless's corporate partner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Qbound<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Munich-based startup Qbound offers a solution focused on current and future cybersecurity challenges in the cloud and IoT sectors. With its zero-trust access management platform, the company promises to ensure that only authenticated users and devices can access specific resources at the right time and for the right reasons. The platform's security system is based on a software-defined parameter and a blockchain infrastructure that ensures full transparency and control over data exchange and usage. Qbound's corporate partner is Knorr-Bremse. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Cascade Drives<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As heavy commercial vehicles become increasingly electric and autonomous, Cascade Drives aims to offer an alternative to conventional hydraulic systems with its gdGear-based innovation. The products can deliver the same linear force as comparable hydraulic systems, but with up to 40 percent less applied power. Furthermore, they are smaller, faster, offer more precise linear motion, and require virtually no maintenance. These features make the products powerful, environmentally friendly, and cost-effective. Cascade Drives' corporate partner is Knorr-Bremse.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Spoontainable<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

To avoid plastic and food waste, Spoontainable offers a solution that combines both goals. The Stuttgart-based startup, founded by Amelie Vermeer, uses valuable leftovers from the food industry to create a sustainable and innovative
CO2<\/sub>-neutral plastic alternative. The Spoonie Choc is the first edible ice cream spoon made from cocoa bean shell fibers. It has been on the market since April 2019 and has since replaced nearly one million plastic ice cream spoons.
