On December 2nd, the after-event for the Startup Weekend \u201cDie Alm\u201d will take place at mantro.net<\/a> This will give participants the opportunity to reflect on the Startup Weekend together. Furthermore, the ideas developed during the weekend will be presented in the form of several pitches. <\/strong><\/p>\n

The event is also aimed at all startup enthusiasts who are interested in new business ideas and would like to make new contacts with other founders during the get-together. More information and the current agenda can be found on the Facebook event page<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Review of the Startup Weekend<\/h3>\n

\u201cThe Alm\u201d<\/strong><\/a> celebrated its premiere at the end of October and invited participants to work creatively in southern Bavaria. Within 54 hours, new ideas were developed into validated business models for the mobility of tomorrow.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt was without exaggeration the best Startup Weekend I have ever been to \u2013 definitely do it again!\u201d \u2013 Sebastian, Mentor<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

From October 30th to November 1st, around 70 startup and mobility enthusiasts gathered together for the first Startup Alm near Neuschwanstein Castle. The Startup Weekend 'Die Alm', with its focus on Future Mobility, represents a new edition of the global Startup Weekend concept, which was held in the state capital for the fifth time this year under the name Startup Weekend Munich.<\/p>\n

45 participants, 15 mentors, 5 judges<\/strong> and the organizing team gathered in Munich on Friday afternoon to travel to Startup Alm together on a Deutsche Bahn IC bus. In addition to Deutsche Bahn, the Munich Public Utilities (MVG), qpunkt, and \ufb02ixbus were also on board to support the three-day adventure.<\/p>\n

\u201cI love supporting people who are motivated to launch their own startup and develop themselves further.\u201d \u2013 Galina, Mentor<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

After the rooms at the foot of the Bavarian Alps were occupied, a total of 22 Future Mobility Ideas<\/strong> presented. The best concepts were selected a total of nine teams<\/strong>to begin brainstorming the business model. The problem definition, target group, and solution approach were refined in detail until late into the night. Over a leisurely breakfast, further new contacts and inspiring ideas were exchanged before the second day began with a group fitness session.<\/p>\n

\u201cWorking on a project for a whole weekend and really starting something is a great experience for me\u201d \u2013 Sebastian, participant<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Saturday was also dedicated to the mentors: thanks to the broad expertise of the entire coaching team, the teams were supported in their different development phases and with various questions. The primary goal of this day was Validation of the business model<\/strong> and the Clarifying the question: is my customer willing to pay money for my product?<\/strong> Some participants took the opportunity to freshen their heads after lunch and hiked together further up the mountain to the Drehh\u00fctte.<\/p>\n

After a busy afternoon, the group gathered later in the evening to network together over table football, billiards, and table tennis.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe feedback and tips from experienced mentors are very valuable for the initial phase.\u201d \u2013 Hanky, participant<\/strong><\/p><\/blockquote>\n

On the morning of the last day, after breakfast, the last few hours began, in which the content and the pitch deck could be worked on before the presentations to the expert jury began. Startup CEOs<\/strong> Tim Ruhoff from fleetster<\/a><\/strong> and Magnus Schmidt from scoo.me<\/a><\/strong>, also took Prof. Dr. Herbert Gillig from Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship<\/a><\/strong> as well as representatives of large companies on the jury chairs: Carsten Hutzler from Deutsche Bahn<\/strong> and Tim Freystedt from Amazon<\/strong>.<\/p>\n

Jury selects three winning teams<\/h3>\n

In the gable hall of the Startup Alm, the tension among the teams was clearly palpable \u2013 but the anticipation of finally being able to present their developed ideas was also in the air.<\/p>\n

After the presentations, the jury selected three winning teams:<\/p>\n

OmniGo<\/strong> brings together all bookings for the journey from A to B in one app, repairmybike<\/strong> would like to offer a mobile bicycle service and enabler<\/strong> brings disabled people together with people who attend events with them and thus improve their mobility.<\/p>\n

The winning teams enjoyed co-working spaces, mentoring sessions, and relevant startup reading material, allowing them to further develop their ideas. In a relaxed atmosphere, the judges and the teams exchanged final feedback before the double-decker bus took everyone back to Munich.<\/p>\n
