The German Accelerator has announced the startups that will complete the accelerator's three-month intensive program in New York and Silicon Valley next year. Among them are two Munich-based startups, Sono Motors and Happybrush. Also encouraging: The German Accelerator will send a record number of female founders to the USA next year.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two Munich startups were able to apply for the program of the German Accelerators<\/a> qualify next year. On the one hand, the automotive company Sono Motors<\/a><\/strong>, which aims to revolutionize the mobility industry with a sustainable electric car with integrated solar cells and innovative mobility services. And the startup Happybrush<\/a><\/strong>, which aims to expand the oral care industry with sustainable alternatives through fair electric toothbrushes, toothpaste and mouthwash. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Both companies, along with ten other startups from across Germany, will have the opportunity to participate in a free, three-month intensive program run by German Accelerator in New York and Silicon Valley. As part of this program, the startups also gain access to a network of 200 mentors, numerous partners, investors, and potential customers. German Accelerator also provides free office space in Silicon Valley, San Francisco, and New York, as well as a local team dedicated to supporting the founders and providing them with practical tips on topics such as go-to-market strategy, recruiting, and fundraising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Female founders: a huge need to catch up in Germany<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

With the 2020 selection, the German Accelerator also announces a record: never before have so many female founders been sent to the USA. Seven of the twelve startups beginning the three-month intensive program in the USA have a woman on their founding team.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
