Young, innovative companies in particular are increasingly using crowdfunding to take their first steps onto the international stage. This can be a fantastic opportunity to build a global customer base very early on and gain visibility as a German startup. At the same time, however, it's also a real challenge. Project founders raising money for their product on Kickstarter, Indiegogo, and other platforms shouldn't underestimate the effort involved in an international campaign.<\/b><\/p>\n

After all, international marketing presents a host of challenges for founders. A product-based crowdfunding campaign with the classic pre-sale nature of a product must ultimately comply with many regulations, just as those that apply to traditional international business. Chambers of Commerce and Industry generally offer a good point of contact for all business questions related to international operations.<\/p>\n
