The two founders of the Munich-based startup Limehome want to revolutionize the hotel industry with a completely digitalized process. Founded in 2018, the company already has over 50 employees. This has already convinced several investors who have invested several million euros in the startup.<\/a> And customers also accept the service well<\/strong>. 7 questions for the founders.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

1. Who are you and what do you do? Please introduce yourselves briefly! <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Limehome combines the quality standards of a hotel with the coziness and comfort of a stylish apartment. We are leaders in the digitalization of the hotel industry<\/a> and define new standards in terms of comfort, convenience, and design. We have no reception and rely on a completely digital customer journey. Our tech DNA allows customers to check in 24\/7. Our suites in prime locations in German and Austrian cities are available for both short city breaks and longer business trips. Our ambitious team is also based in the heart of Munich. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Limehome aims to be a driver of the digital revolution in the hotel industry<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

The Limehome founders are Josef Vollmayr and Lars St\u00e4be. Josef studied business administration and statistics at Ludwig-Maximilians-University Munich (LMU). After completing his doctorate at the University of Mannheim, he worked for five years at McKinsey, focusing on value creation, private equity, and retail and consumer goods. Lars also studied business administration at the Technical University of Munich and CDTM<\/a> After graduating, he initially moved to McKinsey, where he helped shape the digital strategies of several large corporations and eventually met Josef. After spending hundreds of nights in hotels as a consultant, it seemed only logical to bring this industry into the 21st century with a clever concept. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

2. But that's been around for a long time!<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Bookable suites? Yeah, right! Attempts to digitize the hotel industry: Isolated!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

But not in this form: We address the entire value chain, scrutinize every process, and strive to gradually automate all recurring processes digitally via our operating system in order to offer our guests the highest-quality product for the price! Thanks to our scalable model, we will be the hotel operator with the most locations in Europe in five years.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Things are going fantastically well! We're constantly fully booked, and our rapid growth, extremely strong unit economics, and our 50 employees after just under a year are the best proof!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

    5. What does Munich mean to you? <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    Munich has been our home for a long time and, of course, a magnet for talented team members! The startup scene is growing rapidly here, and at the same time, you can easily get to the mountains or the lake on the weekend. Where else can you find that? <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    6. How will your startup become the next unicorn? Or will we see you soon at Epic Fail Night?<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

    A unicorn, of course \u2014 with our team, ambitious growth visions, and passion, we have the potential to fully attack this market.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
