Does your startup or young company offer innovative products or digital solutions in the healthcare sector? Do you have the right solution to significantly improve healthcare? Is your product or service innovative, has a coherent overall concept, and ideally has passed initial patient testing? Then apply now for the Chamber of Industry and Commerce Startup Slam at the European Health Congress Munich 2019. The application deadline is July 31, 2019.<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

The European Health Congress on September 26-27, 2019, in Munich, is themed "The Fascination of Healthcare: Also for the Next Generation!" It is a call to participate in what is currently becoming possible in healthcare \u2013 for example, with regard to artificial intelligence, big data, and personalized medicine. New approaches to recruitment and transsectoral emergency care will also be addressed.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The more than 150 invited speakers are among the leading thought leaders in the healthcare sector and will offer answers to current and future challenges facing hospitals, rehabilitation clinics, general practitioners, nursing staff, and the entire healthcare industry. Around 1,100 participants are expected at the two-day conference.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Apply now for the Startup Slam!<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

To introduce yourself at the European Health Congress Munich, please send an informal, short and meaningful application including a description of your product\/service\/concept and a few lines explaining how you will try to attract the attention of the participants at the event by 31 July 2019, by email to
startup@muenchen.ihk.de<\/a>Alternatively, you can briefly and concisely introduce your company in a 1-minute video (via a file-sharing platform, e.g., Dropbox). <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The organizers of the European Health Congress Munich 2019, together with the Chamber of Industry and Commerce for Munich and Upper Bavaria, will select seven startups in an internal committee that have the greatest relevance for the target group. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The following criteria play a role in the selection:<\/h2>\n\n\n\n
  • The startup should be no more than 5 years old<\/li>
  • Idea \/ originality of the product\/service<\/li>
  • Benefits \/ added value for the healthcare industry<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n

    Each of the seven selected companies will receive a free exhibition space at the IHK Startup Expo and will be able to present itself to attendees on one of the two conference days. Here, you'll have the opportunity to engage with over 1,100 healthcare experts, present your product or service, and receive feedback from attendees. You'll also have the chance to make many new contacts. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

    In addition, on the first day of the conference, each company will have the opportunity to present itself in a short (2-minute) Startup Slam. If you impress the audience, you have the opportunity to win a mentorship from an experienced expert or political representative in the healthcare industry who can answer your questions or provide you with contacts\u2014in short, a personal contact person who will support you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
