Several Munich-based startups have already received recognition in this competition. To ensure this continues, tech startups (including many Munich-based ones) can apply for the Technology Fast 50 Award until June 30th. <\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The Technology Fast 50 Award 2019 honors the fastest-growing company in the tech industry. In recent years, companies such as <a href=\"\/en\/46743\/celonis-video-interview-nominacher\/\">Celonis<\/a>, <a href=\"\/en\/25910\/onpage-becomes-ryte\/\">Ryte<\/a> or the <a href=\"\/en\/29312\/19-million-euros-global-savings-group\/\">Global Savings Group <\/a>excellent. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p>\u201cWe are looking for entrepreneurs who bring innovative ideas to life with tech know-how and thus help shape Germany as a business location and make it fit for the future,\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>says <strong>Andreas Gentner<\/strong>, Partner and Head of Technology, Media &amp; Telecommunications EMEA at Deloitte. The consulting firm aims to recognize companies that have successfully transformed business ideas into high revenue growth. In addition, another award is up for grabs at the &quot;Challenge Awards,&quot; Gentner explains: <\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p> \u201cIn addition, with the Challenge Awards we want to focus even more on the topic of innovation and give high-potential employees the opportunity to get their ideas off the ground,\u201d <\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<p>The Challenge Awards replace the competition&#039;s previous categories. Startups and scale-ups offering innovative tech and digital solutions in one or more of five innovation fields can apply here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">What startups need to bring to the Technology Fast 50 Award<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Technology Fast 50 Award is aimed at tech companies with outstanding growth. Applicants should be from the hardware, software, communications, media &amp; entertainment, healthcare &amp; life sciences, fintech, or environmental technology sectors. Companies are evaluated based on their average percentage revenue growth over the past four fiscal years. Participants must also meet the following criteria:&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul><li>A self-developed technology forms the basis for sales revenue. And a significant portion of the proceeds flows back into research and development.&nbsp;<\/li><li>Sales revenues for the 2015 financial year amount to at least EUR 50,000 and for the 2018 financial year at least EUR 1,000,000.<\/li><li>The company has existed for at least four years.&nbsp;<\/li><li>The company headquarters is in Germany.<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><strong>Future designers wanted: the Challenge Awards<\/strong><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p>The Challenge Awards aim to recognize startups and scale-ups that develop tech solutions to challenges in five different categories: Mobility, Finance, Health, Work, and Smart Cities. The innovations should provide answers to questions like these: How can we use technology to create a livable future? How will we get from A to B quickly, conveniently, and sustainably? How will we manage our finances in the future? How will technology help us stay healthy? How is the use of artificial intelligence changing our working world? What might the city of the future look like?&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Applicants can submit concepts for one or more categories. Startups can also apply for both the Technology Fast 50 Award and the Challenge Awards. A jury will review the submissions and select the best concepts. The awards ceremony will take place on November 7th at the Museum of Hamburg History in Hamburg.
