Details of the transaction have been agreed to remain confidential.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The High-Tech Gr\u00fcnderfonds (HTGF), <a href=\"\/en\/8012\/interview-with-roman-huber-from-bayern-kapital\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bavaria Capital<\/a>, Born2grow, and two business angels participated in Medineering&#039;s seed financing round in the summer of 2014. In 2016, the eventual buyer, Brainlab, joined the investor group as part of a Series A round.<\/p>\n<h3>\u201cA true success story\u201d<\/h3>\n<p><a href=\"\/en\/28305\/portrait-medineering\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Medineering<\/a> was founded in 2014 by Dr. Stephan Nowatschin and Dr. Maximilian Krinninger. The company was the world&#039;s first to develop a modular &quot;surgical robotics platform&quot; designed to support and relieve surgeons during minimally invasive operations. The robotic assistance systems developed and now marketed since its founding are currently used primarily in the ENT field, but are expected to be applied in other fields in the future.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ulrike Kalapis<\/strong>, Investment Manager at High-Tech Gr\u00fcnderfonds, says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&quot;Medineering is a true success story. In just a few years, the team has developed a sophisticated, innovative product and has now launched it.
