What might learning look like in the future? And how can modern technologies help? Co-founder and CEO of 361 Extended Reality Jonathan Sierck explains in his answers to our 7 questions.<\/strong><\/p>\n

1. Who are you and what do you do? <\/strong><\/p>\n

We are Jonathan Sierck, Vanessa Hensel, Jonas Geisler, Thomas Foj, Anne Koark, Kathrin Mann and Daniel Sierck from 361 Extended Reality.<\/p>\n

361 Extended Reality Digital Learning Experiences offers a new way of learning for companies through technologies such as virtual reality (VR), augmented reality (AR), and machine learning (ML). We believe that effective learning is the key to success in a rapidly changing digital world. With this in mind, we design personalized learning experiences to empower people and companies to understand and respond appropriately to change.<\/p>\n

Using new technologies such as VR, AR, and ML, we combine proven didactic strategies with engaging concepts. In collaboration with world-renowned learning and domain experts, we develop talent development products for companies that focus on the following topics: onboarding and employer branding, global strategies, digital competence, leadership and management skills, and immersive diversity. Our goal is to create learning solutions for companies to attract new talent and retain outstanding employees\u2014in other words, to appeal to Generation Z without excluding Generation X and Y.<\/p>\n

361 Extended Reality: Learning \u201canytime and anywhere\u201d<\/h3>\n

2. But that has been around for a long time! <\/strong><\/p>\n

Of course, learning has been possible anytime and anywhere from tablets and books for thousands of years. Egyptian papyrus scrolls existed as early as the 3rd millennium BC. Newer methods such as online learning and e-learning have refined learning anywhere and at any time, but have not been able to eliminate environmental distractions that can significantly impair retention potential.<\/p>\n

Immersive learning, on the other hand, allows for distraction-free, 360-degree exposure in a protected space, stimulating the experiential synapses with interactions and game elements. Memory retention is higher than with conventional learning methods, and several studies have already shown that immersion also trains empathy, which has significant advantages for management skills, customer interactions, or even HR-driven processes. It's important to us that learning becomes more creative and stimulating, but above all, more sustainable and effective for new work situations.<\/p>\n

3. What has been your biggest challenge so far? <\/strong><\/p>\n

One of the biggest challenges was communicating that new learning technologies aren't just suitable for learning technical skills. We're particularly pleased that more and more companies are showing great interest in holding workshops for their HR managers and executives to experience what's possible, what's already happening in the market, and how advanced the technologies have become.<\/p>\n

4. Let\u2019s get down to business: How is business going? <\/strong><\/p>\n

More and more companies are discovering virtual reality and augmented reality for their employer branding processes, and virtual reality learning has now become a part of human resources development. What we're particularly pleased about, however, is the keen interest in our Virtual Reality Digitalization Knowledge product, which we developed in cooperation with the Innovation Center for Industry 4.0 in Regensburg. It uses a matrix to convey the buzzwords of digitalization and their impact on business models to employees. We don't like to share numbers, but perhaps you can put it this way: From month to month, we're outperforming the previous month's results. And that's already a positive sign.<\/p>\n

\u201cA unique symbiosis\u201d<\/h3>\n

5. What does Munich mean to you? <\/strong><\/p>\n

You often hear "laptops and lederhosen" associated with Munich. But Munich is much more than that for us. Munich has a unique symbiosis between being a hotbed of innovation and leisure value. The startup scene is large, but Munich is also very international. Many world-renowned companies have offices here. This makes it easy to make contacts all over the world, which is ideal for companies, of course, but also for cosmopolitan people like the rest of us. All this with proximity to mountains and lakes\u2014what more could you want? But for us as a team, Munich remains the place where our idea, its implementation, and our coming together as a team were born.<\/p>\n

The path to becoming a unicorn: hard work and positive thinking<\/h3>\n

6. How will your startup become the next unicorn? Or will we see you soon at Epic Fail Night? <\/strong><\/p>\n

With a mix of enthusiasm for what we do, an ingenious product, and constant learning from our network, our customers, and each other. Of course, the following is always part of it: hard work, number management, consistency, but above all, our strong team spirit, which has already taken us far and where we can count on each and every one of us.<\/p>\n

7. Isar or English Garden? <\/strong><\/p>\n
