Make Munich 2019 has established itself as one of Germany's largest maker festivals. From March 2nd to 3rd, tinkerers, techies, and creatives will meet for the fifth time in Munich's Zenith Hall.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To make concepts like digitalization, the Internet of Things (IoT), and virtual reality tangible, and to enable young and old to learn how to build a robot in a few hours or print things themselves with a 3D printer\u2014that's why, among other things, the Make Munich trade fair exists. Southern Germany's largest maker and DIY festival opens its doors for the fifth time on the first weekend in March. Around 10,000 visitors can expect to discover creative ideas, inventions, projects, technologies, and an open culture of innovation in two halls.<\/p>\n

Make Munich 2019 offers a colourful programme<\/h3>\n

Makers, fablabs and makerspaces, startups from electronics, design, mobility, and ecology\u2014the maker movement will be experienced in all its breadth at around 180 exhibition booths and in more than 40 workshops. "Maker meets Mittelstand" will also feature special networking opportunities on Saturday in the "Allnet ICT Area" in the neighboring coal bunker. The highlight, with the greatest entertainment value, is certainly the so-called "World Mushroom Chips Hebocon" on Sunday: According to the organizers, this will be the largest scrap robot fight of all time. Anyone interested is still welcome to apply.<\/p>\n

There is also a lot to offer in terms of lectures and workshops<\/h3>\n

There are also various highlights on the lecture stage. Drone expert John D. Vasquez will present his latest drones. Things could get funny with a program item titled "The Physics of Failure" by Prof. Dr. Georg Eggers, which is billed as a "satirical interlude."<\/p>\n

The Economic Development Agency of the City of Munich will be taking care of the needs of anyone who wants to start a crowdfunding campaign on Saturday afternoon. Questions about optimal preparation and funding such as the municipal crowdfunding support <\/a>can be asked here and will be answered by two experts.
