Orcan Energy: Growth financing for the cleantech company<\/h3>\n

The Munich Cleantech companies Orcan Energy<\/a> <\/strong>has a new Financing round completed<\/strong> and was converted into a public limited company. Aliad, the venture capital arm of the Air Liquide Group, a global leader in gases, technologies, and services for industry and healthcare, is one of the investors.<\/p>\n

The financing round, which also included existing investors Kleiner Perkins Caufield and Byers (KPCB), Wellington Partners, and E.ON, also included the participation of the Swiss investment firm Quadia, which specializes in environmental financing. Orcan Energy develops modules for generating electricity from waste heat and was awarded a prize in the 2008 Munich Business Plan Competition.<\/p>\n

DyeMansion<\/a>: EOS founder invests in dye solution for 3D printing<\/h3>\n

In the growing market for 3D printing, EOS <\/a>a global market leader. The founder of the Munich-based company is now involved in the startup DyeMansion<\/a>, which has developed a dyeing solution for the 3D printing industry. The software company SAP was enthusiastic about the startup, which students from the Technical University of Munich founded in 2011. Locumi successfully sells parcel bag division to Burg-W\u00e4chter<\/h3>\n

The Munich-based startup Locumi has sold its parcel bag division to the family-owned company Burg-W\u00e4chter. The parcel bags offer online shoppers the option of having their packages safely delivered to their doorstep. Burg-W\u00e4chter plans to develop a successor product. Locumi will focus on an innovative technology for keyless access in apartment buildings. The Locumi team plans to present the new product to the public in October with a Kickstarter campaign.<\/strong><\/p>\n
