The young company raised a total of \u20ac159,618.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>That many have been waiting for a vehicle like the <a href=\"\/en\/27130\/7-questions-urmo\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">UrmO<\/a> The successfully completed Kickstarter campaign proves that we have been waiting for it.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe are overwhelmed by so much support and enthusiasm for our UrmO,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>founder is happy <strong>Sebastian Signer<\/strong>The UrmO prototype is currently being tested throughout Europe. The six-kilogram-light <a href=\"\/en\/38205\/e-floater\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">e-Floater<\/a> is intended as a supplement to the car and public transport.<\/p>\n<p>Commuters and city dwellers can ideally travel without traffic jams. Thanks to the patented folding mechanism, the vehicle can be folded to the size of a briefcase in less than two seconds. Weighing only 6.5 kg, the UrmO is easy to transport. It reaches a top speed of 15 km\/h and is steered via intuitive weight shifting.<\/p>\n<p><iframe title=\"Prototype Rollout | UrmO\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tJcrUX-rFkM?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<h3>Regulation for small electric vehicles<\/h3>\n<p>The current discussion surrounding the regulation for small electric vehicles demonstrates the relevance of this topic. The road approval and associated regulations for small electric vehicles are to be finalized and adopted by 2019 at the latest.<\/p>\n<p>UrmO founders Felix Ballendat, Jakob Karbaumer, and Sebastian Signer are currently in talks with several major German automakers about possibly integrating the UrmO into the trunks of certain models. The idea: The journey to the outskirts of town could still be made by car. Commuters could then use the small e-Floater for the last few kilometers into the city\u2014a potential mobility revolution for tomorrow&#039;s traffic.<\/p>\n<h3>UrmO can now be pre-ordered<\/h3>\n<p>The Munich startup has barely successfully completed its Kickstarter campaign and has already <a href=\"https:\/\/www.indiegogo.com\/projects\/urmo-ultra-light-foldable-urban-electric-vehicle#\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">new campaign on Indiegogo<\/a> The e-floater can be pre-ordered here until December 7th for \u20ac1,499 (\u20ac1,599 with grab bar). Delivery of the vehicles is scheduled for the end of 2019.
