In order to promote investment measures by companies to improve electricity efficiency, the Federal Ministry for Economic Affairs and Energy has launched the funding program \u201cSTEP up! \u2013 More electricity efficiency in companies.\u201d <\/strong><\/p>\n

The "STEP up!" funding program essentially functions like a traditional funding program, but with a competitive component: The funding decision is based on the so-called cost-benefit ratio, which compares the requested funding amount with the expected electricity savings. The higher the electricity savings compared to the funding amount, the better the chances of receiving funding.<\/p>\n

Apply for Step-up! by November 30th<\/h3>\n

The sixth tender round consists of two tender types: the open tender allows funding for pure electricity efficiency projects. The closed tender supports investment projects that also offer the potential for energy savings in the heat sector.<\/p>\n

The sixth round is open until 30 November 2018. All companies from various technology areas and industries are entitled to submit project ideas to increase their energy efficiency and to apply for funding of up to 30 percent<\/a>.<\/p>\n
