The Green Alley Award is entering its next round: Founders and startups from the circular economy now have the opportunity to present their business ideas. Applications can be submitted until July 1, 2018.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

The Green Alley Award 2018<\/a> is aimed at all startups and young entrepreneurs who have developed a business model in the areas of digital circular economy, recycling, and waste prevention. We are looking for companies that are about to launch their products or services or are already in the growth phase. Startups that want to expand into other European markets are also welcome. The only requirement: The business idea must contribute to recycling resources. The competition was launched by the Landbell Group, a provider of services and consulting for international environmental and chemicals compliance.<\/p>\n

The aim of the Green Alley Award is to bring together pioneers of the circular economy, work with them on their business model and ideally connect them with potential customers.<\/p>\n

Many ideas \u2013 one common goal: circular economy<\/strong><\/h3>\n

\u201cWe are delighted that the Green Alley Award is entering its fifth round this year,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

says Jan Patrick Schulz<\/strong>, CEO of Landbell Group. He continues:<\/p>\n

\u201cIn recent years, we have seen many exciting and innovative business ideas, all of which demonstrate in a unique way how we can gradually establish a circular economy in Europe.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

In a circular economy, the value of products, materials and resources should be retained in the economic cycle for as long as possible and as little waste as possible should be generated.<\/p>\n

"In our current linear economy, not all products are recycled at the end of their life cycle. This results in valuable materials being lost,"<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

said Schulz.<\/p>\n

A prize money of 25,000 euros awaits
\n<\/strong><\/h3>\n

Interested startups can their ideas to July 1, 2018<\/strong> submit<\/a>Six finalists will be selected from the applications received and notified in early September. The Landbell Group will invite them to Berlin on October 18, where they will work on their business model in individual discussions with experts from the circular economy and startup sectors.<\/p>\n

At the end of the day, the finalists will present their project in a five-minute pitch on stage before a jury of experts and an international audience. The jury is comprised of representatives from Landbell Group and external experts, including Alexis Figeac, initiator of the EU project R2Pi on circular economy business models, and Suvi Haimi, CEO and co-founder of the startup Sulapac, which won the 2017 Green Alley Award.<\/p>\n

The winner of the Green Alley Award 2018 can look forward to prize money of 25,000 euros.<\/p>\n
