{"id":35033,"date":"2018-04-10T16:10:23","date_gmt":"2018-04-10T14:10:23","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/cms.munich-startup.net\/?p=35033"},"modified":"2021-04-01T00:49:17","modified_gmt":"2021-03-31T22:49:17","slug":"new-round-at-wayra","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/cms.munich-startup.net\/en\/35033\/new-round-at-wayra\/","title":{"rendered":"New round at Wayra Germany"},"content":{"rendered":"<div class=\"entry-content\"><p><strong>The new application round at Wayra Germany is underway: Young companies in the areas of human resources, transport analytics, network services, and process mining can apply for funding until April 15, 2018. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The collaboration with the startups also <a href=\"\/en\/31025\/asked-at-wayra\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Wayra&#039;s parent company Telef\u00f3nica will benefit<\/a>The winners will be able to implement a 100-day project with \u20ac25,000 in prize money and gain Telef\u00f3nica, one of the world&#039;s largest telecommunications companies, as a customer. The founding teams will also be provided with office space in the center of Munich.<\/p>\n<p>The startups will also gain access to technology and management experts from the Wayra and Telef\u00f3nica network and become part of a global community. HR, transport analytics, network services, and process mining startups can apply until April 15.<\/p>\n<h3>Intensive exchange between Wayra and Telef\u00f3nica<\/h3>\n<blockquote><p>&quot;With this new round, we are continuing our course: Wayra aims to provide startups with access to Telef\u00f3nica. Through direct exchange with the group, innovative technology companies should make rapid progress and further develop their business models,&quot;<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>says <strong>Christian Lindener<\/strong>, Managing Director at Wayra Germany.<\/p>\n<p>In order to provide added value to both sides \u2013 the startups and the group \u2013 there is a continuous exchange between Telef\u00f3nica and Wayra.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThis allows us to learn where Telef\u00f3nica\u2019s business units see a need for innovative technological solutions,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>Lindener continued.<\/p>\n<p>Startups in the field of process mining, for example, should be able to offer solutions for automated data processes \u2013 and thus contribute to making various business processes at Telef\u00f3nica more transparent and faster.<\/p>\n<h3>One hand washes the other<\/h3>\n<p>With this new round, Wayra is now looking for the second time since its <a href=\"\/en\/30237\/wayra-reinvents-itself\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Reorganization at the end of last year<\/a> for talented entrepreneurs. The core of the new strategy is to provide mature startups and young technology companies with direct access to the group, thus giving them a boost in innovation and growth.<\/p>\n<p>Telef\u00f3nica, in turn, receives impetus from the collaboration and the new technologies to further advance the digitalization of processes and products.
