The lead investor is <a href=\"\/en\/ecosystem\/entrepreneurship-venture-capital-partners\/\">Unternehmertum Venture Capital Partners<\/a>.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In addition to the VC fund from <a href=\"\/en\/13313\/asked-about-entrepreneurship\/\">UnternehmerTUM<\/a> the old investors also shoot <a href=\"\/en\/24313\/high-tech-gruenderfonds-iii\/\">High-Tech Founders Fund<\/a> and <a href=\"\/en\/8012\/interview-with-roman-huber-from-bayern-kapital\/\">Bavaria Capital<\/a> fresh money into the manufacturer of drive systems for e-bikes. The funds from Bayern Kapital come from the <a href=\"\/en\/17159\/bavarian-growth-fund-mobilizes-127-million-euros\/\">Growth Fund Bavaria<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>In March 2017, Fazua launched <a href=\"\/en\/21065\/fazuas-market-entry\/\">after successfully completing Series B financing <\/a>with its &quot;Evation&quot; drive system. Bicycle manufacturers such as Cube, Pinarello, and Focus have already integrated the drive into their series products. With the fresh capital, the startup plans to continue growing, hiring staff, and further developing its products.<\/p>\n<p>The Evation drive system enables bicycle manufacturers to design their e-bikes with the battery and motor integrated into the down tube. Founded in 2013, the company plans to move to a new location with greater production capacity in spring 2018.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWe are very pleased about this investment round, which will further support Fazua GmbH\u2019s extremely strong positioning in the market,\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>so <strong>Hannes Biechele<\/strong>, CEO and founder of the Munich-based company.<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cThe experience, added value, and know-how of our shareholders are essential pillars for us, without which Fazua could not operate so successfully.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<h3>Aigner: \u201cFazua creates great added value for the e-bike industry\u201d<\/h3>\n<p>Bayern Kapital has been involved with Fazua since the seed phase. Managing Director <strong>Dr. Georg Ried <\/strong>says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>\u201cWith another investment, this time from the Bavarian Growth Fund, we can make an important contribution to the company\u2019s growth.\u201d<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><strong>Benjamin Erhart<\/strong>, Partner at Unternehmertum Venture Capital Partners, says:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>&quot;Fazua has established a very promising market position. Within the rapidly growing e-bike market, the system is a leader in lightweight and ultra-lightweight products. More and more renowned bicycle manufacturers are relying on the Evation drive.
