Four partners are pooling their expertise to bring together actors in the cultural and<\/strong>
\nTo support the creative industries in Germany and internationally and<\/strong>
\nto network with each other: The PCI \u2013 Network of Public Funding Institutions for the Cultural and Creative Industries in Germany and the Federal Association of the Cultural and Creative Industries Germany eV (Kreative Deutschland) are new partners for the Goethe-Institut and the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) in the further development of their joint Cultural Entrepreneurship Hub project, which is funded by the Federal Foreign Office.<\/strong><\/p>\n

Greece, Indonesia and South Africa: Together with the SCE<\/a> supports the Goethe Institute<\/a> Since 2016, the Goethe-Institut has been developing local Cultural Entrepreneurship Hubs in Thessaloniki, Jakarta, and Johannesburg. The Goethe-Institut's Cultural Entrepreneurship Hubs are contact points for stakeholders in the local cultural and creative industries. They serve as hubs for innovation and entrepreneurial thinking and action among smaller cultural enterprises. The goals of the hubs are to better utilize synergies and bring startup ideas to market maturity.<\/p>\n

The Cultural Entrepreneurship Hubs provide cultural professionals with entrepreneurial know-how and connect them with the creative industries in Germany. Through this continuing education program, the Goethe-Institut provides open access to knowledge and training in the cultural and creative industries and creates regional and global networks for cultural professionals and creative industry stakeholders.<\/p>\n

Two new partners on board<\/h3>\n

The Goethe-Institut has been active as a cultural mediator worldwide for over 60 years and
\nhas extensive experience in the field of international cultural exchange.
\nSCE as a successful Entrepreneurship Center of the Munich University of Applied Sciences brings
\nthe training and start-up competence. The PCI \u2013 Network of
\npublic funding institutions and the Federal Association of Creative People Germany<\/a>
\nare experts in the cultural and creative industries in Germany and partners for
\nDevelopment and political discourse. They know the existing
\nfunding structures and bring in strong networks. In the future,
\nnow jointly develop programs and formats to network the actors in
\nGermany and the participating countries, sustainable
\ncreative economic structures are built up at the locations and the transfer of knowledge and ideas is supported.<\/p>\n

J\u00fcrgen Enninger<\/strong>, Head of the Cultural and Creative Industries Competence Team<\/a>t, and Egbert R\u00fchl<\/strong>, Managing Director of Hamburg Kreativ Gesellschaft mbH, are spokespersons for the PCI \u2013 Network of Public Funding Institutions for the Cultural and Creative Industries in Germany. Both agree:<\/p>\n

"For those involved in the creative industries, it is a major challenge to develop new markets and partnerships abroad. We are very pleased that the collaboration we have now agreed on is a first step towards raising awareness of these challenges within the network of Cultural Entrepreneurship Hubs and the Goethe Institutes."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Dr. Johann-Jakob Wulf<\/strong>, Project Manager of the Cultural Entrepreneurship Hubs at
\nGoethe-Institut and Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship, emphasizes the
\nNecessity of cooperation for the sustainability of the project:<\/p>\n

\nA global network of hubs where local creatives drive culture and the economy forward.
