This is the third-largest economic sector in Germany. In November 2017, there were 300,000 companies with approximately three million employees.<\/p>\n<p>The &quot;Retail in Transition&quot; innovation competition is looking for ideas and concepts that enhance the in-store shopping experience, leverage digital technologies for the shopping process, promote collaborations between retailers, or cleverly combine online and offline shopping\u2014for new shopping experiences, vibrant city centers, and economic innovations. Do you have an idea for revamping retail and already have an innovative business model in mind? Then apply now!<\/p>\n<h3>Prize money and coaching for the eight best<\/h3>\n<p>The eight best startup and innovation teams (four retailers, four tech startups) will receive support in further developing their concepts in a five-month intensive program. The program addresses the individual needs of retailers and startups.
