The Munich-based Industry IoT startup Konux is one of 30 Technology Pioneers worldwide at this year's World Economic Forum (WEF) in Davos (January 23-26). The WEF nominated Konux mid-last year as one of the world's most innovative startups in growth areas such as artificial intelligence and robotics, virtual and augmented reality, blockchain, cybersecurity, autonomous driving, drones, and biosciences.<\/strong><\/p>\n

To the WEF Technology Pioneers<\/a> include young companies from around the world that are involved in the design, development and deployment of new technologies and innovations and whose work will have a significant impact on the economy and society.<\/p>\n

Aigner: \u201cA strong global signal\u201d<\/h3>\n

Bavaria's Minister of Economic Affairs Ilse Aigner<\/strong> said on the nomination of Konux<\/strong><\/a>:<\/p>\n

"Bavaria is an internationally outstanding high-tech location. With our excellent research infrastructure and innovative companies, we offer ideal growth conditions for creative startups, founders, and young companies. We consciously support these, because the pioneers and ideas of today are the successful companies and business models of tomorrow. With the Bavarian company KONUX, such a success story has now been invited to the Weltwirtschaftsforum as one of the 30 'Technology Pioneers'. This is a fantastic honor for the company and a strong global signal for high-tech in and from Bavaria."<\/p><\/blockquote>\n

Konux combines smart sensors and analytics based on artificial intelligence and enables railway companies to improve the capacity of their rail network and thus also punctuality through predictive maintenance planning and optimized use of railway lines.<\/p>\n

The Technology Pioneers are a global community of startups and growth companies with the potential to significantly impact the economy and society through the development and deployment of new technologies. The WEF's Technology Pioneers community has existed since 2000. A prominent selection committee of around 60 academics, entrepreneurs, venture capital investors, and business owners selects the approximately 30 companies each year.<\/p>\n

Technology Pioneers companies of recent years include Airbnb, Dropbox, Google, Kickstarter, Mozilla, Palantir Technologies, and Twitter. In the last five years, only five other German companies have been nominated alongside Konux.<\/p>\n<\/div>","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
