The future field of additive manufacturing will now be an integral part of the UnternehmerTUM Incubator EXPRENEURS<\/a>Startups working in this field receive special support within the three-month incubator program: They benefit from a strong network of technology providers and users in the field of additive manufacturing, receive access to the high-tech MakerSpace workshop, and receive individual coaching from experts and consultants in the fields of industrial 3D printing and digital production. With this support, the teams prepare their business ideas for market entry.
\n<\/strong><\/p>\n

Michelin is planning a 3D-printed deflated car tire, Airbus plans to print aircraft parts from titanium, and BMW is using 3D-printed components in series production. Additive manufacturing comes into play where conventional manufacturing reaches its limits: Hardly machinable materials like titanium can be shaped in any shape, complex structures, designs, and geometries can be processed into extremely lightweight and stable components, and sample and test parts can be produced quickly and cost-effectively.<\/p>\n

Ready for market in three months<\/h3>\n

With the new Additive Manufacturing track, industrial 3D printing\u2014a key manufacturing technology of the future\u2014is being integrated into the XPRENEURS program. The goal: to transform promising technology startups into sustainable and scalable companies. Within three months, the teams will advance their business ideas in areas relevant to industrial 3D printing: Smart City, Mobility, Industry 4.0, IoT, Smart Enterprise, Medtech, and B2B Software & Hardware.<\/p>\n

Individual coaching by experts<\/h3>\n

In the Additive Manufacturing track of XPRENEURS, UnternehmerTUM supports teams developing innovative business ideas in the field of industrial 3D printing \u2013 from software solutions for component design and 3D printing job management to series applications for industrial 3D printing. XPRENEURS provides each team with a business coach with several years of experience in additive manufacturing.<\/p>\n

Strong network in the additives sector<\/h3>\n

The startups benefit from a strong network of providers and users of 3D printing technology: These include Autodesk, SAP, EOS, Trumpf, GE, voxeljet, BigRep, 3D Systems, Formlabs, Altana and Oerlikon, as well as major industrial players such as BMW, Bosch, Airbus, Siemens, MAN, Adidas and Linde.<\/p>\n
